Does anyone read the AFC Ladies content? I'd much prefer it to be in a section all on its own so I dont have to be told about their latest defeat. Am I out of touch because its winding me up.

We should disband the women’s team as they’re honkingly bad, as is all women’s football.

It’s a different sport.

Waste of money that could be spent better elsewhere.

The sheer complete lack of interest in the SWPL is a shame really but a reflection of the quality.

I've just watched highlights of Glasgow City defeating Glasgow Women 11-0 in front of two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree. Dire.

Hun women beating Hamilton 6-0 at Broadwood. About 7 folk there.

Dubdee United v Partick Thistle at a training complex across the road from Tannadice in front of a smattering of fans.

The lack of anyone caring that the Dons game got moved to behind closed doors at Cormack Park sums up the apathy.

Not really. It's just a bit sad to create a new thread for no reason other than to slag them off.

They’ll be getting 6,000 people coming to watch them at the new stadium though remember

I’d be curious as to the cost of having a women’s team. If it’s a few grand I’m not bothered. It’s a shambles how they are being run. No manager. No sub goalkeeper. No fans allowed in. And pumped most weeks. I dunno why we got involved as we’ve not exactly shown any knowledge about running a men’s team over the years

Hundreds of thousands id imagine. Isn't their a handful of full-time women's players at club now?

Its not just that  - ladies age group / kids / junior teams, apparently all decked out in new / latest strips, trackies etc, come along to games in the fancy bus with "media" group (photographers) - and then they get pumped off the ladies junior teams they are playing against - its no even like the AFC team is talented against the ladies age group teams they are up against, who are all amateur's and have nae money.

Must be costing a fortune to fund all the female age group teams, then the ladies team - all for getting folk into sport, just doesnt need that level of investment

It costs close to fuck all, they’re using stuff we already have for the men’s teams. They also have significantly more potential for growth than the men’s team.

If you’re nae into it, just ignore it and move on with your life. It has less than zero effect on your existence.

Couldn’t remember if the figure was 6k or 12k. Both completely ridiculous assumptions

They'll be doing well if they ever get 600 spectators never mind 10 to 20 times that figure.

Astonishingly the Edinburgh derby wifies match got over 8k at it back in November was played at Tynecastle

Same weekend, arse cheek ladies (at Broadwood) got slightly over 3k. Lanarkshire derby got 521 at New Douglas Park.

DAB ladies v Aberdeen ladies....444....

Yet they want equal pay 😆

Fucking ludicrous.

Should be told to GTF

I'm pretty sure the tickets were FOC were they not and it was during the World Cup when there was very little other football on. In fact did they not issue 12k tickets and only 8k turned up?

Didn't dig that deep into it but you may well be correct

They should use the men's kit from the previous season to save buying new ones. Doesn't matter if it fits. Would make it even funnier to watch.

OR, as we get paid by the shirt sponsor to wear their name. Maybe do that and generate additional income from having a ladies team.

Just an idea.

🎵If you think it's a waste of money,

Don't scream and shout,

Cause I'll be in the toilets knocking one out

Over the ladies.

Ladies?

AFC Ladies!

Now their goal difference is bad,

But don't cause a kerfuffle,

Cause I'll be in the toilets having a five knuckle shuffle

Over the ladies.

Ladies?

AFC Ladies!

Now they're bottom of the league,

and may not survive.

Don't tell me cause I've been, having a quick low five

Over the ladies

Ladies?

AFC Ladies!

Some want them disbanded,

But we should give thanks,

Cause I've been in the toilets enjoying a wank

Over the ladies

Ladies?

AFC Ladies!🎵

Pure public relations to keep some imaginary female base happy.

No.

Rachel Corrie was banging on about it the other week.

I’m presuming she was referring to the Scotland women’s team.

She's talking about getting paid the same to go to the same sponsor events, not for playing.
