Do you have a slow cooker?

Why not?

Good question Jet.

It may be a worthwhile investment as we do cook most evenings. I fear it will go the way of the Air Fryer, Waffle Maker and George Foreman and get used for the first couple of weeks and then get relegated to the cupboard and only be seen again when I'm trying to find a specific lid for a pot.

I can see the benefit for things like stew, curry, roasting large pieces of meat etc. But I'm a vegetarian, so don't need it for anything like that.

Made pulled pork in ours at the weekend past.

Gorgeous. Was like being transported to the streets of southern Texas.

Considering getting in to the air-frying game too. Takes up a bastard if big amount of counter-top space though.

I got an air fryer, don't make the mistake I made by buying a Tefal Actifryer. The idea sounds good, two levels and the bottom one has a scoop thing that constantly turns, ideal for not having to constantly shake chips. Only problem is it tears into softer things. (even chips sometimes)

So you can remove the spinning arm part and cook everything as a normal air fryer, except it is round with a hole in the middle, you cant cook larger things, and you now cant use the top tray as it locates on the central bit that tuns.

Also worth mentioning even with both trays going it doesn't cook stuff at the same time, you cook the bottom part first then put in the top tray.

I do still use it a fair bit, just wish I'd got a Ninja or the likes.

Oh! and I don't have a slow cooker.

Nope, got enough kitchen equipment as it is. If I want to slow cook something I just put it in the oven on low or use a casserole dish on the hob.

Yeah but you can time them and fuck off to the bar and it’s ready when you get back. Admittedly you do shit it that your house may have burned down.

Yep, some cheap model, but they’re all pretty basic anyway.

Ace for joints of meat and stews. A lot of prep for stews, but you would do that anyway with a conventional oven. Joints of meat, just stick in the slow cooker for 6-8 hours, no prep at all.
Got an air fryer as well, but still just use that for basic stuff; oven chips, sausages, bacon, Indian type starters, salmon.
