Players who promised more.

Recommended Posts

Whilst thinking about the players we had signed, I remembered a few who despite having great reputation before arrival did nothing whilst with us.

Ian Cameron i was excited when we signed him, a great player, who was certainly at first glance worth the £300,000  we paid , but injury blighted his time with us and apart from the Skol cup semi when he scored against Celtic and ran the game, he was a disappointment.

David Dodds,  fergies last signing ,

Andy Gibson, he was prolific in the reserves scoring for fun but, never got a decent run for the first team.

Stephen Payne. "A player who has the crossing ability reminiscent of David Beckham".

His career was doomed after that comment made by his then boss, a Highland Hero, according to his book title.

Dean Campbell.

Looked like a decent prospect when he broke into the first team.

Mcinnes never really played him, apart from a few minutes off the bench. Waited far too long to go out on loan.

Turned out shite but with a different pathway, who knows.

57 appearances. Had plenty opportunity.

Scott Muirhead.

Looked amazing for about 2 games then every defender in Scotland figured out he was all pace and no ability.

Great pass for David Zdrilic to score the winner at celtic park though when we were truly shite and, in turn, end their home record of 77 games without defeat.😄

One pass doesn't define a career though.

I despised him. To me he was Mark Kerr in disguise.

He was McInnised.

Very much so. His injuries were down to McInnes. It also didn't help McInnes played him up front at times, whilst playing long ball
