Anyone know anything about this strange alliance?

Recommended Posts

I read about this nearly 30 years ago although no explanations were given as to the various alliances between Scottish and English clubs.

We supposedly align with Spurs, and to a lesser extent, Everton.

Celtic with Man U / Liverpool/ Arsenal

Huns with Chelsea / Man City

Hearts with Newcastle

Hibs with West Ham

It was a thing before street cameras and phones with quality cameras became ubiquitous.

In the 1990's if your were Chelsea and got nicked for fighting in and around their matches you'd get a fine and more importantly, a ban. Not good if you're a fan

Much better to go to Rangers Aberdeen where there will be trouble and if either club bans you then so what?

In mind mind it was Chelsea/Rangers that started this so folk who wanted a go at them from down south chose other Scottish sides to pair with.

Aberdeen being non-religious and neither unionist nor nationalist but with a comparatively well-off fan base, seemed to suit the yid army demographic.

There are no 'alliances' other than those in the minds of have-a-go heroes of days gone by. The halcyon days of soccer casuals, which were as far removed from supporting your club, than well, not even having an interest in football whatsoever.
Some guys at my school, who couldn't even spell football, let alone kick one, were all about the clobber - the Burberry scarves, the Sergio Techini tops.... it was very much a fashion status. Some times, they got into a scrap or two, but most of them couldn't punch their way out of a paper bag. Certainly if in a group of say, rugby players on a night out, they'd get the living shit kicked out of them.

I found the whole thing bizarre back in the 80's and I still find it incredibly bizarre why anyone with half a brain cell, would even try and 'align' with some other club, merely out of fighting. Grow up.

I assumed it started out partly because of good connectivity down to London

Also London being ideal for lads to get some nice gear (clothes rather than drugs but maybe that too) while there for the football/scuffles

But it's never been my scene so I've no idea really.

Aberdonians/teuchters and Ashkenazi Jews... Both have a predominance of tight-fisted snobs with a superiority complex. 😛🤣

Indeed. Main difference being, though, that Aberdonians have yet to annexe/commandeer the rest of mainland Scotland with the unquestioning/unwavering support of the rest of the Zionist-controlled "global community" and spend 75 years systematically wiping out the local indigenous peoples whilst rebranding said lands Greater Aberdeenshire, a la Israel/Palestine. Ooh, politics. Huns etc 🤓

You should take this over to the conspiracy thread in the Pub before the ADL designates AFC Chat as a hate site.

Sure there’s a few posters on here who can share some “nuanced” takes on the holocaust as well.

Professor Norman Finkelstein has already written very eloquently on this several times. 👍

A Jewish Communist? Even more blood on their hands than the Zionists.

Does raise some valid points about the weaponisation of the holocaust.

Do they still come up for matches? Recall a large contingent at a match at Easter Road in the mid 00s. Evidently upstanding gentleman with thick laaandaan accents.

Think it was the 2-1 win near the end of the season in 04-05 with Esson saving a pen and Mackie scoring the winner with a bullet header or it could also be the booze addling my brain.

Mind when the Chelsea boys came up for Hun game with them, they got a police escort to the ground. Think it might have been the same game we ran down Jasmine Terrace to have a go at them but the policewoman stopped us. Amazingly nobody got nicked.

My mate (Millwall) comes up with a few others now and again and s/t even with his children but as mentioned - the punishments now are so harsh that large scale attendance worthy of aggro seems unlikely.

It's just tourism.
