I think we are in a battle to secure top 6,  unfortunately. Teams around us have had a wee bounce with their signings. Particularly Kilmarnock. Van Veen will definitely give them strength and goals.

The one saving grace for us is the hopeful bounce the team get with a new manager.  Miovski staying is huge.

After the next two we have a pretty favourable run of games to attempt to get some results

Yeah our run in is as good as hoped. I think we will pick up enough points to stay clear but I’m not 100% sold on getting 4th or 5th or even too 6. Will depend on who we actually get in.

You had a bit of a mare yesterday hedging your bets.....

I see you're doing likewise on the managers thread today. Be bold put a name out and it will shut a few people up.

You are speaking shite, I wasn't hedging my bets at all, multiple folk on here can tell you that.

I don't need to shut people up, I love seeing folk make a cunt of themselves.

I am not disputing you maybe in the know with developing news but it might be better being more careful with your wording. And that goes for the other ITK'S.

How so?  At no point did I say there would be a signing yesterday, in fact I told folk yesterday not to expect anything but "things could change" and from the sounds of thing they did but not for the good.

According to the rumours on this sight we've had, Miovski off to West Ham, Duk in Madrid waiting to sign, two exclusives to wake up to, Lennon, Warnock, Neil and a McInnes/Doherty combo and Docherty as manager. Somebody's telling porkies.

Nobody knows anything.

Even our captain doesn’t know anything, in regards to a new caretaker or permanent. He THINKS it will be a caretaker with a new manager coming in, in the summer. Straight from the horses mouth.

I'm not sure why you or others feel he should rein back on the posts he makes, I'm not privy to any inside info from him but he clearly has connections that allow him to post info in advance of it being announced by the club and that's backed by several posters.

It's a rumours page as per the sub forum heading, by that nature not everything will be right and nobody is forced to read it. It's comical that folk get bent out of shape if something doesn't materialise from his info.

Again, I'm not disputing his knowledge. It was merely a suggestion. As for others, saying expect 2 exclusives leaves you open to being a bit attention seeking. Maybe a " been told strong possibility" would have prevented them from being shown up as an arse. Yes, it's a rumour forum and by the very definition, keep them coming. Just don't make up shit.

I agree...

Hearts are a shoe-in for third unless they have their traditional end-of-season collapse.

Killie are going well and have strengthened.  I expect them to be top six, good bet to finish fourth.

St. Mirren's form has been terrible and they haven't signed any world beaters.  I can see them dropping out of the top six.

Hibs have been shit but have signed half a team this window.  If even half of them turn out to be decent they will climb the table.

Dundee have decent form and have taken a bunch of players on loan, mostly from Burnley.  Like Hibs, if a couple of these kids are good they will climb the table.

If we get a good manager who can get a tune out of our squad we could be in the top half come the split, but third is definitely gone and fourth will be a challenge.  I'd say we are looking fifth at best.

Fair enough min, if it was me I'm not sure I'd be motivated to be sharing too much if the response I was getting when something didn't materialise was folk revelling in it or accusing me of making up shite. That's not directed at you specifically, just an observation.

Very good chance that Hearts and Kilmarnock will stretch the gap to us over the next week. While we've got Celtic and the huns, Hearts have got Dundee and St Johnstone and Kilmarnock have Motherwell and Livingston. Would like to think we have a winnable run of fixtures coming up but the way this season has gone so far i'd not trust or expect us to beat anyone. I can't see us finishing top 6 this season, best chance of Europe would be winning the cup but sadly we all know that for that to happen then at some point we'd need to play Celtic or the huns and we wouldn't beat either of them.

Yes we might drop points to them this week but when they play the arse cheeks the will lose so with a decent manager in we will catch those points back up.

I don't get why we won't finish top 6 the league shite, get a manger in that has a clue we will beat most sides easily like we did last year, I'd think 4th or 5th we will finish.

Because other than that 7 game winning run under Robson last year we've not strung more than 2 wins in a row in the league together since December 21 and not gone more than 3 league games without a defeat since August 21. For whatever reason we've just not been able to consistently string good results together for the past 3 years. I just personally don't see anything to suggest that'll change this season even without Robson.

As you said the league is shite so it'll probably end up incredibly tight between 4th and 10th, i just have no confidence our team has it in them to finish 4th or 5th.
