Agree Frankie Mac,but Dave Cormack plays too active a role in the signing of players and dictating the 'stragerdy' and direction of the club.Dave Cormack makes it very difficult for any football manager of Aberdeen to manage the club as any sell -respecting football man would wish.We have a good manager in Barry Robson.I am not convinced Barry Robson is in charge of signing players.

Of course he isn't and neither he should be. It's not the 80's anymore. 

Having managers in charge of signing players is how you end up with squads full of shit that need completely replaced after a manager is sacked. See AFC for the past 2-3 years for an example.

This kind of feels like the sort of text that the police take as a 'line of inquiry' if Cormack is found dead in mysterious circumstances

Do you know what Aberdeen should have done during the summer.Do what we used to do to Inverness.Partick Thistle had at least half a dozen excellent Scottish Premier League standard players Dave Cormack and Alan Burrows could have snapped up for next to nothing with a quick conference call to Firhill.Some great players there that other more traditional Scottish managers and clubs have signed.Kyle Turner has scored for Ross County,watch Scott Tiffoney at Dundee on Sportscene ,etc.etc.

There has to be major question marks regarding Cormack. Nobody can question his commitment to the Dons, both financially and emotionally, but his managerial appointments (2 down already and serious doubts about the 3rd) and the new transfer policy have me questioning where my club is heading.

You're clearly a passionate fan and you're entitled to your opinion as much as anyone else but to start a thread and for it to have 25 posts and 15 of them be from yourself hints you've lost the plot a bit here. You're putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5, your piss poor arguments are based on your clouded opinions and dislike of Dave Cormack rather than facts. 

The continued personal attacks on him show you up to be either a bit jealous of the success he's made of himself or frankly you're just a bit simple, no offence. DC has not been 'hands on' in the running of the club for the best part of a year however as the chairman of course he's involved in setting the strategy. He appointed Burrows to steer the ship and generally most folk were crying out for that type of appointment around the Darvel fiasco/Goodwin binning and it's been a positive move for the club.

He doesn't choose players, he installed a head of recruitment that was so highly thought of he was subsequently headhunted by Southampton and then replaced him with one of the up and coming guys from West Ham's recruitment operation. Jordan Miles along with Gunn and Robson deal with player recruitment, not Cormack. He just signs the cheques, I'm assuming despite your criticism you're not asking him to stop doing that or offering to take his place in that role?

Of course Thursday was disappointing and hard to take but Cormack has green lit spending on the footballing budget this summer that's probably in excess of what any other manager has had in the last 15/20 years. His tenure has seen season tickets reach record levels, turnover increase year on year among a host of other positive changes. Has he done everything right? Of course not and he has held his hands up to that. Are you hankering for the 'glory days' of Milne and his pandering to the Huns instead?
