Avian occasion

Not sure I've a lot of knowledge about birds and flying things, but I could probably rustle up a few ways to fight them should you find yourself under attack by one of our winged friends.

In the meantime, please accept a picture of a wet owl as my contribution to this thread.

Unlikely to catch on but this is the real life, should you choose to accept

Seen the largest member of the raven family at the Five Sisters Zoo. Big bastard, as big as a breadbin.

i've seen crows eat steaming hot dog shite on a cold winters day

we all know that Steve Clarke could learn a lot from that

Food from a terrible vendor at the beach ie steaming hot dog shite or steaming hot dogshite ie after having been eaten by a dog?

I keep a few chickens, interact with them every day to get eggs and feed them - we also seem to feed a high amount of wee garden birds, plus a large amount of crows from the rookery nearby due to the chicken feed

Hmm, maybe I should set up a wee video cam and record the daily interactions of birds round my garden 🙂

Ah, no

When i worked in the railway on several occasions i witnessed crows placing stones on the tracks whilst we were waiting at signals. Clever little fuckers were waiting for the train to crush the stones so they could get the minerals. Other than being shat on by a gull that's about as far as my avian interactions go.

have a faimly of maggies in the back garden, hand fed the young eens all summer. The cat didn’t mind them as he was getting the roo meat aswell.

two ravens live in a tree out the back, they’re down every day aswell. Cool birds but terrified of the magpies

had a few bird feeders set up at the bedroom window in Rosemount aswell. Was excellent having cocaine fuelled rampant anal sex interspersed with some tits visiting at the window.

how do you manage to keep rats from setting up home near the chicken feed ?

Just make sure theres only enough feed for during the day then lift the feeder in at night - rats are only interested if there is plenty of food around.

They're the greatest pets to have. Had them in our last place for years. Fantastic birds. Free roam of the garden. Was ace opening the back door and making a noise to call them. All bombing up the garden like little feathered velociraptors for a feed.
