If he needed Op he was almost certainly out for season so strange we are playing it week to week - all sounded a bit strange as I also know a little about the subject. I wouldnt have thought it'd be a career ender though

A mate of mine has had retina op twice for detachment. Spent days in hospital both times laid face down and basically not being able to move much to allow things to start healing. Took fair while of rest thereafter before getting back to work

Type of back up goalie we need next season if Doohan is away. Cerny only played twice I think. Both at Easter Road with first time as sub for Lewis after he clattered post and fans chanted the Sha La La Tomas Cerny on loop and next time was final game of season and Lewis was in stand with fans due to injury. Think it was Shinnie farewell game

If it is a detached retina then he can't do anything contact or jarring or really much exertion for many months. Would be amazed if he's back for pre-season.

Ok maybe it wasn't in the online version or I skimmed coz I saw that he was back to Norway but didn't notice mention of the actual injury. 

Just re-checked and yeah it just says the retina needing to calm down but not the injury itself; not in that story at least.
