Interesting signing, given his age. He must be a different type of midfielder to what we've got, so hopefully brings more balance to the team. Will be interesting to see what shape the midfield takes this season and how Jimmy will fit Shinnie, Nilsen, Clarkson, McGrath, Polvara, Besoujin etc into it.

The guy seems to have played a lot of games, captained a lot of teams etc - no sign of an international cap though despite being so highly thought of wherever he's been.

Boy I know from Bergen was pretty negative, seems strange since Brann been doing well and he was playing every week. Said he’s off because of high taxes and seeking one last pay day. He says he’s technically poor on the ball and slow, but very aggressive in the tackle. Hard to know if he’s bitter or not as you’d think Connor Barron was the reincarnation of Dave McPherson the way folk on here talk.  Soon find out.

Brann are doing well as they’ve a team of players who have gelled well together. There are no stars, just good players. Nielsen is the elder statesman and eh genuinely have never liked his style.

I don't think that's a good idea. There was a notorious serial killer by the name 'Dennis Nilsen'.
