If Miovski's still around we have to get him on the park justifing what we think he's worth. The kid gloves approach, unless something is imminent makes little sense. Remind any potential suitors what they'd be investing in. That's our modus operandi nowadays yes?

Think there’s an extremely low chance of Miovski starting. Might come on as a sub if we aren’t winning by 60 minutes.

not worth it. 3 points, or 1 point, or a loss in this game is meaningless vs getting money for Miovski.

when we are talking money like 7-8m then yeah, winning a one off game isnt important, vs making sure that asset isnt injured. thats just where we are. we arent able to afford to miss out on that

Came up the road from down south yesterday, major roadworks on and before friarton Bridge. Definitely need to be going via Cupar Angus next week

Where do you normally come up the road from when it's not down south?

Miovski should be starting unless there is a bid on the table that weve not responded to

its pretty simple isnt it? if he is off imminently then why play him? why risk not getting 7-8m or whatever it is. we can be as flippant as we want but thereis probably 1 club in scotland that could maybe afford to take that risk....and we arent it

At what point is it no longer imminent though? That's us been through an entire league cup group with him imminently leaving. Now we're into league season. If clubs don't want him injured they should buy him. If not, he plays and we try and win football matches

the league cup group didnt require miovski to play. why would you play him?

transfers dont work like that do they? the selling team doesnt say "oooh, you better pay up now or we will play him and risk injury".

No they say "if you really want him put a fucking bid in or stop wasting our time"

also doesnt work that way does it? maybe with teams that have massive budgets in Europes top leagues it does. Man City can say pi55 off to whoever they want. we cant. other teams know we are a small fish in the scheme of the pond they are fishing in.

and, also, the player has a say here. miovski is being a model professional. he could be having a hissy fit cos he is not playing. he isnt. cos he knows whats up.

negotiations arent always between equal partners. we are price takers, not price makers. we can have opinions about what he is worth but the other teams know what they can get away with.

So if an agent says x club might put a bid in for y player we should wrap him up in cotton wool and not play him?   Nah

If a bid has been made and accepted aye or if the 2 parties are close maybe.

no, but i doubt it works that way. i suspect there are actual discussions / communications directly between clubs, not just agents making stuff up.

apart from anything else, agents probably wouldnt want to make up a story of a club being interested because i suspect it could be easily debunked by someone at Todders lifting the phone. it also wouldn't be in agents interest to just make sh1t up, probably cos despite what people think about agents, their reputation means a lot to their business and their relationship with the player.

if nobody wanted miovski he would have played in more preseason stuff because he is our best player. he hasnt. so it indicates there is.

and...the player has been super chill this whole time. id imagine he wanted to play. he is a winner. but he knows there is something afoot, so is being professional and chill

Aye but it can't go on for much longer.

He's already been needed to bail us out against Airdrie. We cant leave him out for another month til the window closes.

Maybe the Miovski deal is already done and the hold up is us wanting to get a couple of deals closer to being done before pushing the button?

Thats a scenario that would explain not playing him

That would mean Gunn has got his finger out his arse, I doubt that.
