Only thing that is not certain to guess is what two BBC will pick from Dundee derby, Hearts and Dons. I wouldn't be surprised by any 2/3 there. Then when it comes back to Premier they wouldnt be certain to pick the third as they might look at St Johnstone Motherwell Dundee Derby a stick on, Tord. I think we’ll be selected. Link to comment

I'd pick it first (not third) what a great fourth round tie! I'm just saying it wouldnt surprise me if it bizarrely ended up as the fifth pick. The St Johnstone Motherwell comment was more about if Premier were left with Brechin Hearts / Elgin Dons of the what I would consider obvious 5 choices that they may throw that final curveball and not be arsed to set up tv at a ground not equipped. ABERDEENROWIE1903
Drawing Elgin City takes me back I was a young loon ( Aberdeen fan of course ) living in Elgin back in 1971 when we drew them at Pittodrie Great excitement in Elgin before the match. Went through on a Saturday morning to see the match it was a hell of a trek in those days on the old A96 Unfortunately it was rained off. For some reason my dad didn't take me through for the replay Happy days Link to comment

You’re basically saying that the BBC won’t select the Dundee Derby as one of their two picks though if you think about it. Cant see it, Tord. Link to comment

Was always seen as odd because he’d barely played first team for them. 1 Link to comment

I suppose Premier could pick the Dundee Derby is slot 2, denying the BBC the chance, also knowing the BBC wouldn’t pick Huns v Broch, leaving Premier to select huns as 5th pick. Link to comment
starryfish
Elgin a well organised side these days, a definite threat from set pieces, hopefully not a repeat of last years fiasco Link to comment

Tord31
Given we play the Wednesday before and the Saturday after and given the amount of money will be almost identical whichever day and ko time we have...... I don't think the club would push back against a proposed Monday night game. Hope for Saturday though. Link to comment

Was gutted when we heard it was rained off eating lunch at the Dairy in Inverurie. I think Elgin had a big support travelling through that day but few made it back for the rearranged game. My Father and Grandfather reckoned Elgin would have won it on the day with the big travelling support but had little chance in the rearranged game midweek. Elgin City had a good team in those days.
