Fucks sake. I got worried and thought it was Fergie when i read the headline.

Aye cheerio Alex. He'll be inappropriately touching the angels in heaven now.

Shagger.

A top top shagger. Tried to thumb in a softy when he was too drunk to get it up with some tart.

That's commitment to the cause.

RIP Alex.

RIP Alex.

We've all been there.

That's why I voted Yes. A man after my own heart.

A man of the people.

Would have fucking loved to have had a night out with him and Craig Brown. The walls would be dripping in fanny batter.

A touching eulogy. You should suggest it to be read out at his funeral.

Undoubtedly the greatest Scottish politician of modern times.

If we ever get to the table of nation to which he tried to lead us, it'll be in no small part down to the foundations he laid.

Absolutely agree, but it's imperative the alphabet sisters are outed and punished, so we can draw a line under the nonsense that trashed his reputation. Every false accusation of sexual assault makes it harder for genuine victims to be taken seriously, but it also destroys mens' reputations for life, even after legal acquittal. He was flawed, of course he was, but not guilty of this. The SNP needs gutted of this trash, then indy can move forward.

Whether Scotland becomes independent or not in my lifetime, it's enough for me to know the "Union" is finished. It no longer rules the waves (merely waives the rules) and will never again return to its former glories. All that remains to be seen is whether Scotland has the courage to stand up and be a nation again, or go down with that sinking ship. Alex never wavered in his belief in Scotland and that is what he should be remembered for.

Are you going to his funeral Eddie?

I knew Alex very well as I've been in his company many times chapping on doors delivering leaflets and even myself and my wife sat at the same table as him at fundraising events when I was in business..

He was a good laugh and a big miss for everyone in Scotland.
