There you go then, they’re really offering fuck all other than to “look at” it if we find £90m down the back of the sofa- that’s hardly doing us a favour, they’d grab that sort of investment from anyone with both hands.

I'd have said giving us the chance to build a new stadium on the only piece of land big enough between the beach and Kingsford, 100 metres from Pittodrie, is a favour.

Why pay the council to rent anything? For £2m a year we could probably service a loan to cover the construction project and meanwhile keep all of these revenue.

The council should be facilitating the availability of some suitable land and cooperating over planning and collaborating on a plan that works well for the club and the city. That’s all.

- they shouldn’t pay for a stadium and we shouldn’t give them any money we make from one.

Agree with the first point. Far better staying well clear of being reliant of the council given their lack of assistance getting to the stage of building a new stadium (if we ever get there)

On paper the council have offered a suitable site, but have done so cleverly knowing fine well it’ll never happen there. More to do with them than AFC, but AFC will get the grief for it not going ahead.

The council asked the club to build a multi-purpose sports stadium. AFC are a football club and only need a football stadium. There will quite obviously be extra costs involved in that and the council should absolutely be helping foot the bill for whatever the extra cost involved in that is.

You do understand that the council have the authority?

Hence the term local authority.

It’s not up to the council to facilitate deals or business expansion plans for private businesses.

I'm not sure how you've read my post and come up with that reply.

The councils 'authority' has nothing to do with it at the moment. Their more than likely inability to ever see through their proposed beach masterplan project, which a new stadium at the beach is reliant on happening, is the issue. Besides, we have planning permission to build at Kingsford, so we could start construction there whenever we like. We are not reliant on ACC anymore to build a new stadium unless we chose to be.

And where did I say the council should be funding a private business' expansion plan? I only said they should be funding the difference for the additional facilities that they themselves are requesting. Facilities that AFC do not need in order to continue to operate as the private business that they are.

Another reason to leave it as is. Away fans think it's a miserable experience. Good, long may it continue

I notice at the bottom of the picture a number of broken seats. If they do not want to sit on them why vandalise them. ?!The club should call that out every time it happens and send the club a bill for the replacement seats.

You shouldn't jump to conclusions based on stereotypes........they were maybe trying to steal them for their caravans!

See mentions of possibly filling in the corners but is there much of a viewing angle available from corner between Merkland/Main and RDS/South and Main/RDS would involve demolishing control room. Think a roof on Y would be about it but even then unlikely. A lick of paint here and there and replacing seats as required will be about it I reckon

As long as they introduce urns into the kiosks that are able to provide hot water more than 15 minutes after kick off, I'll be a happy man.

Those that run the kiosks struggle to follow a calendar with current pie of the month not appearing until 21st December so no surprise heating water is a challenge for them
