Whatever option we go for, a Hampden sized pitch might be a good idea?

There is not a single aspect of Hampden we should be copying. Its an abysmal stadium

To be fair if we redeveloped to get Uefa cat 4 standard we'd have to copy size of pitch length as its the standard 105m long but could get away not copying width as it's 1 metre wider than required

I know we're comparing tiny unripe apples with behemoth pears but I watched Bayern the other night and the Allianz inside and out just looks amazing.  Wondering what it was like for the fans in the summer (apart from the result).

It’s actually a bit shite. Middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing.

Decent view inside, I’ll give it that.

It is a wonderful stadium, easily accessed by public transport- bus or train.

It's just a huge bowl in the middle of nowhere. Id like to go back and see it without beer though so maybe it's better than I remember. If we can play Bayern again that would be appreciated

I thought that at the time too, then returned in the summer. It’s at least 30 mins on the train from anywhere central, then a good 20+ mins walk through nothing.

The actual footballing arena is world class, but in terms of fan experience it’s one of the worst I’ve been to in Germany.

I wouldn’t recommend going back, you’ll just lose 5-1 again.

I might someone going on about turning the pitch round so basically the main and sooth stand ends would be the goal mouths but think at was before the flats were built behind the south and I think it might actually have been around the time the RDS was going up. Canna mind seemed a good shout when I heard it, don't think there's the room now and I'm nae architect 🤣

I remember hearing that back in the day as well, although I'm not sure how serious it was. It'd still be an odd squeeze, though. Like that Braga stadium, but with Trinity Cemetry in place of a fuck-off big cliff.

Fabulous stadium, but miles from anywhere and a nightmare for transport!

Much preferred Cologne and Stuttgart (best for getting a beer outside), but even those grounds were a bit of a trek!

Köln is up there with the very best.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO STUTTGART (despite what photos may say)

Yeah Köln was my favourite, cracking stadium and city, we had a nice AirBnb down the river a bit, a nice walk into town. Just a pity the weather was a bit shit.

Depends if you value being able to see the pitch.

Been couple times I was glad to have benefit of that pillar. Had decent views when not in current away section like for 2014 final and when we won there same year in Scottish Cup and seat was further round behind goals as they had to give us a bigger allocation
