One loss and we're on the verge of a slump. Michty me.

One loss with 3 games coming up we traditionally struggle in - lose all 3 and yeah it’s a slump. Could have maybe worded it better - “nip any potential slump in the bud”

If we don’t beat Hibs tomorrow night, it really is an utter disgrace. They are cannon fodder and should be despatched with complete ease. If that bastard junior hoilett is smiling tomorrow night at 10pm, we might aswell turn off the lights and stop.

One game at a time, starting with the spoon burners tomorrow.

We really should be giving them a good pumping, but for some reason that's why this game feels more dangerous. Getting beat off of them could put the heads right down then we have 2 tougher games to follow. We need a win here.

Get the team selection right and we should win. At the least we need to be bringing in Duk & Palaversa to start, probably Keskinen too.

Regrettably I can't make this one, but if you are going then please bring the noise with you and get them over the line.

Hibs and Hearts have played 27 league games between them this season and won a total of 3. We've 10 league wins from 12. We should have no fear from either of the games coming up this week.

Doesn't always work like that though does it?

I remember season 13/14 when Hearts were in administration and finished bottom we still failed to beat them in 3 attempts, losing twice and drawing the other.

We struggled to beat them at Pittodrie earlier this season even though they'd been playing in Azerbaijan just a few days before the match.

Add to that our generally atrocious record at Tynecastle over the years then it looks a very difficult match indeed.

We knew this was the toughest run pre-split and there were easier games to come but im still fucking raging.

Threw it away

Shit happens Tord.  Can't do anything about it now, other than learn from it.  On to the next game.  Trainings by trainings.

Our next four matches are St Mirren away, Hibernian away, Hearts away and Tims at home.

Our 10 match records at the various venues is 1 win, 3 wins, 0 wins and 0 wins respectively.

In other words a very poor 10 match record for each fixture.

Fortunately that is in the past and we have a very good manager for the first time in quite some time.

Whilst all matches are clearly winnable the first two matches in Paisley and Leith appear to be the easier fixtures and, on current form, we should be looking to win both.

Tynecastle is a horrible place to visit and, whilst a victory would be great, a draw would be acceptable in my book.

That leaves the Tims at home, and the match I really hope we are ready for. Again a victory would be great but avoiding defeat would be acceptable at this time in Jimmy's tenure.

So 8 points from 12 is my target, despite history not being on our side.

Hopefully I'm right, or better, and that history doesn't repeat itself.

Think you need to take some responsibility for cursing these games

You say cursing I say that it was common sense.

We started the season well and, perhaps, over performed and have been fortunate at times.

We simply need a result on Sunday given that Tims will, probably, rest players on Saturday and beat us next Wednesday.

Roll on the January window, when we can reinforce the central defence for the second half of the season, and a proper challenge for second place.

Everyone does need to relax a bit.

These are the mostly the same players we watched fuck about last season. We all remember last season yes?

Lets beat Hearts, put a performance in against Celtic then look forward to the next batch of games.

The last 2 games have left me extremely meh about us beating anyone atm.

We have done superbly well but some just look knackered.

No chance am I putting a bet on us against Hearts (who weren't that bad against Celtic from what highlights I saw.)

☹️

Any team playing at home have an extra edge. This is not an easy game.

Completely agree, no away game in our league is easy - that's not to say we should have easily been seeing that game out on Tuesday. If you remove all celtic results (because whether we like to acknowledge it or not they are on a different level to everyone else) then in the 67 games played so far between the other 11 teams there have been only 16 away wins so 51 games with either a home win(34) or draw(17)

If we can beat Hearts and draw with Celtic that would be a fantastic return.  I'd even say 2 draws would be decent.  We are far from the finished article and its obvious to play Jimmy's way we are going to need quality and pace over the next two windows .

Be a big ask to get anything vs Celtic they play at home against Ross County the day before we play Hearts so they will rest several players for that game & still stroll it. Wouldn't surprise me if they rest  McGregor, Hatate, Maeda, Kyogo & CCV for the County game. They can just bring in Bernardo, McCowan, Forrest, Idah & Scales to replace them & they'll still batter County.

My initial gut instinct fears were correct and my hopes for 8 points were incorrect.

Bizarrely the performance against the Tims was the best of the four matches. Albeit home advantage and the conditions played a part.

The next 4 matches are St Johnstone and Hibernian at home and Kilmarnock and Dundee United away.

Our last 10 matches for each venue have yielded 3 wins, 5 wins, 5 wins and 4 wins respectively, so, on paper, a more hopeful run of matches than our previous run.

Injuries and weather conditions will play there part but we should go undefeated until the year end earning between 8 and 12 points.

The gap between Saturday's match against St Johnstone and the match against Hibernian should help recharge the batteries for the back to back away matches from Boxing Day.

Mon the Dons, in Jimmy we trust.

Delete thread 😢

After a wee think, naw.

Continuous improvement required.

2 points from last 12 not good enough.

However Jimmy resting a few v Hearts allowed us to give Tims a much better test than at Hampden, when we were fucked post Huns match.

Jimmy's a smart cookie and he will continue to improve us. Second place has to be the ultimate goal.
