dj_bollocks
The age old problem of a) not playing 2 up front at home and b) insisting on playing 1 striker who doesn't work well up front on their own... And backing a player to come good... A player has to come good and we as fans will back them... Respect is earned not given... Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
A difficult pass but if Palaversa had put an extra inch of height on it when we broke from the penalty that would have been a rip-snorter of a bounce at the end. 3 Link to comment
RUL
I thought first half we were decent and the better side. Second half we were shite. 3 Link to comment

Absolutely correct. We were an inch or two from having 2 men through on goal. Link to comment
thurso
I thought first half we were the better team. The first 30 mins or so we were really good pressing high and some of our one touch play out of defence was really good we were just missing that final pass, the twice we did get in kiskinin blew the chances one he really should of scored from. Then the second half we were doing the opposite we wernt pressing and were taking to many touches on the ball. I see shinnie getting it in the neck on here, I thought he was our best outfield defender later covered both full backs when they went forward and his tackle at the end was immense. Palaversa was composed on the ball but can do more. Doohan saved us at the end Nilsen has a lot to thank him for it was stupidity giving away that penalty even tho he was doing alright up to that point 1 Link to comment
HaarDon
We are utter fucking shite!!! Clarkson was horrific. Wayward passes. Nilsen terrible passes to opposition. Keskinen has some fucking awful touches at times. McGarry as I've said a few times is a good player. Duk typically keeps the ball with 1 or 2 many touches. Nobody can fucking score. Doohan's save was brilliant. I'm sitting there thinking I had a draw and it's getting taken away from me in the last minute and a half so thanks Ross. Our last 30 yards decision making is fucked!!!! We need 2 Miovski signings this window. Not a defeat but we must work on our passing and decision making. P.s. Tobers was great. 1 Link to comment

Don_Corleone
A clean sheet! Only about the third we've had this season. That's a positive. Hearts weren't very good going forward, but hopefully we can take confidence from the clean sheet at least. Tobers looked assured and Nilsen was fine until his moment of madness at the end. Polvara looked decent at the back when he came on too. It makes a difference having guys who can pick a forward pass playing at the back. McGarry was one of our better performers. Palaversa was okay but a bit slack at times, hopefully a run of starts will help him get sharper. Clarkson had a very poor game by his standards, just didn't work for him. Nisbet didn't offer much. Okkels I think should have been on the bench and come on late in the game rather than starting. He didn't do anything of significance other than take Ambrose's crown for the worst effort at goal I've ever seen in my life. Keskinen did a lot of running and put in a good shift, but his decision making and composure when he gets in good positions is poor. Sevco are rubbish, but I can't see anything other than a win for them on Wednesday as we no longer look like scoring goals. What a bizarre season it's been. Hard to decide whether our biggest issue is our defence or our attack now. Crazy considering we were banging in goals left right and centre earlier in the season. Link to comment
beer gut
Amazing how so many people can see a game differently. For me there are no positives to take from this game. Aye we got a point but thats due to hearts being murder and missing a pen. We fluked that point. We offered absolutely nothing in that game. 1 shot on target at home is a disgrace. Especially when hearts weren’t really threatening and were clearly happy to settle for a point with their pathetic play acting. We sat far too deep and stood off hearts letting them pass it about at will. We created nothing in the midfield. The final ball was pish every single time. Wingers checking back every fucking time. No decent crosses in the box. Thelin better get his finger out because if we keep playing like that we will lose every time. His tactics are a big part of how we are playing Fuck knows what we are trying to be out there Seems the players dont have a clue either Why do we fuck about with the ball at the back so much when the defenders aren’t up to it Think its the in fashion thing to do at the moment and its infuriating watching them pass it along the back line then attempt to pass to a midfielder only for it to go straight to an opposition player. He’s lucky he got off to a flyer otherwise id really be quiet his ability. Fair enough he needs to bring in his own players but nisbet is never in a million years a lone striker yet he keeps persevering with it. Hopefully we can turn things around and beat the huns and everyone will be bouncing again but jesus the dons are struggling just now Link to comment

No positives whatsoever? C’mon now. It’s a shame because I didn’t read a thing after that because it’s a ridiculous comment. I’d imagine I’m not alone in that. McPhee123
Re Jimmy and his tactics... I get it. Similar to big Ange in that he will teach the team to play the way he envisions, so there's a learning curve, and we might be terrible at executing it when 1. the players don't know the system well enough yet and 2. the personnel isn't good enough. Yesterday what frustrated me was that one centre half was brand new, the other isn't a centre half. So to tell them to start building an attack from the back through possession based football is a big ask. They need time to gel. Our fullbacks, especially McGarry, being keen to get forward doesn't really help spread the play when they're not showing for passes in the early phases. That, and Clarkson not dropping to receive the ball, made it look like there was a big disconnect between defence and midfield. I think Palaversa could be key once he's a bit sharper in linking the play, but he needs someone with as much composure as he does (Polvara could be the guy). It was a frustrating watch yesterday as you see glimpses of quality, followed by terrible touches, terrible passes, lack of movement, lack of intensity... Need to try and get the fans on the rangers backs early doors on Wednesday. Link to comment
