If we could afford it with all these extra gate receipts it would be pretty nice to sign a really awesome centre back.

Weve got four centre backs who are doing well and weve got Jensen out on loan, there is no need to sign someone that resembles a punt.

Awesome centre back please

Is this a right sided or left sided centre back you want

Tough call. I presume first choice would be a player who has experience playing as a left sided centre back.

In reality you likely take anyone you can lay your hands on if they are good enough.

I’d prefer a left winger than a CB, I don’t think McGrath will sign a new deal and getting in his replacement before the summer would be a bonus

I'm sure they'll have a winger in their sights regardless of whether or not McGrath and Duk leave in May 2025 or not.

Also Keskinen was a left winger at his previous clubs so may gravitate there long term

Yep, decent CB acquired, McGarry sold and a decent competition with Jack for LB, RB competition for Devlin, Mackenzie, Palaversa and McGrath contract renewals, Ambrose sold and a very good striker and RW brought in with miovski money. So 2 sizeable good transfers up top but preferably 5 decent acquisitions

That’s a lot to ask in one window- not remotely going to happen.

I don’t think we’ll see the Miovski money splurged too - it’ll be used over the next few years.

Yeah I don’t think anyone expects us to go and spend 4-6m in January. As you said it will be a gradual build up if at all. We did spend the guts of 2m in the summer. We will have money available to spend in jan for the right player but I don’t expect a massive increase in our budget as our partners do need a return on their investment.

We'll have plenty cash for a player or two if the right ones are available.

Is there anyone in the spfl that would be of interest? A signing of a further Scottish trained player would give us a bit more flexibility (with a view to europe).

Currently Shinnie, Devlin, Doohan and Nisbet as association trained players but clearly only one of them currently signed up for next season

MacKenzie must be an association trained player too?

And that’s what am sure our fans are wanting, our investment partners to get their returns on investment, just as good as a goal celebration or title win.

and the rich man just got richer yeahhhhh, meanwhile in 2064, still no other bugger has won a league bar those 2. Am sure the fans will still be as interested and excited by then?. Harder for the investors to invest on something that historically by then is a model failure? Unless 2nd best is enough.?,

Aberdeen is a major city in Scotland, oil driven, get the big boys to start investing in us as there’s no reason that we can’t rival investment from Glasgow, doesn’t have to be this way where they monopolise big boards/big budgets/big investments.

folk with big money in Aberdeen, finger oot, Big Dave, start begging to your mates, especially Arthur Blank, we have the manager, we have a semblance of a good team, we are getting the support from Aberdeen via crowds. Stop fucking about and get it done on a whirlwind of optimism and a club built on family tradition and shit hotness.

I would be sure Cormack will up the January budget if there is something to play for in the league in Feb-May.

Fans should also accept we might not push the boat out if weve nothing to play for eg. secured 3rd but out of the race for top 2.

Fans should never accept the last title win outside the weeg being 1985!, NEVER. 39 years and counting, statistically won 85% of all cup competitions between the 2 over the full history of Scottish football. Disgusting. Should never be accepted.

Its not accepted. We will be in the race and we will push the boat out as far as I am concerned

Yes I do, but maybe not by Cormack, even if so, regarding oil for example, they should be made to pump in money to the community where they extrapolate oil from. As a part of licenses agreed. I bet it isn’t. Cormack should be all out trying to lure the likes of blank, surely would like international as well as domestic brands splashed across his many franchises, again he might have asked the question, but as an Aberdeen man, and an Aberdeen supporter, surely he has to change the weegie winning rhetoric, it’s not only his job, but holds all our optimism and want in his hands.

change the rhetoric, don’t care how, 40 years is enough for gods sake.

You can’t do that though. FFP would have us banned from Europe and docked points domestically. Has to be sustainable. I’m sure funds will increase if we can keep signing miovski’s and flogging them on.

Not even thinking about return on investment tbh -  more that we just don’t have £6m cash sitting around to be spent, it doesn’t work like that.

yes, how many times are we going to be lucky enough to keep buying or producing miovski,s?, even at that, we sold miovski for 7 million while celtic got 20 million for o Riley for the same price paid. Most of their shit go for our best, what was 3 million for that winger that was on loan for West Brom, hardly kicked a ball for Celtic yet 3 million.

So what you’re saying is we will never truly compete with the weegie 2 as they are worldwide level as in attendance/assets/players/staff/merchandise/business? Whether we like it or not, we will not get to that level, so while they spend 10-12 million on a player we cannot because we cannot justify it?, unless of course we buy a stadium, regularly fill it with 50k, sell merchandise worldwide/add massive value to our playing squad?, how do we do that?, why would any player worth their salt come to a league that cannot be won?, you can’t rely on youth products(unless your Man Utd which was very lucky to have all those youth players being amazing+young Ronaldo that one time)

so it would need both weegie clubs to implode, at the same time?, stop selling merchandise worldwide, fans stop going to games, get nothing for player sales etc, while our trajectory goes the other way, I wouldn’t hold my breath, hasn’t happened since money entered the game. What would the odds on both being shite at the same time over the course of a season? 100/1 , 50/1, cause that would represent winning seasons not money.

even if we were to trouble them like 2016/17 they would just spend millions again until true apathy arrived once more and put the smaller club back in its box.

then obviously the bias element/cheating/favouritism/pundits and media to change overnight. Not happening, so Investors see this, that’s why they aren’t interested in anything other than those 2, that’s why our product as a whole is shit, as they won’t get a return on their investment/or at the least a sporting achievement to laud about, bloom thinks he’s going to do anything with a 10million pound investment for example at hearts and expect anything other than top ceiling of 3rd then he’s in for a gunk.

games a bogey.

Difficult to tell exactly but more like 4.5 with the rest in potential payments

Oooft, I was well off, solidifies my point further then. Was the best striker in the league, and everyone knew it.(apart from packie and the love of that boy there kyogo), should have been 7, imagine he was at Celtic?, it would have been 20minimum.

better than the 2 Frenchman IMO

I never said we wouldn’t compete at all. We will never compete with their spending but dosnt mean we can’t compete on the field. You’re kidding yourself if you think we are going to get people to chuck money like Celtic do at a player along with their wages.  We have to get euro groups every season and build from there. Hopefully win a cup every now and then too.

As for signing a miovski every time yes I do expect is to sign atleast 1 or 2 very good players every season.

It’s just so frustrating is all. I will be dead the next time we win a league IMO, so depressing.
