Aberdeen and Kusini Yengi are expected to mutually part ways in January, Vicente Besuijen could follow and fellow forward Peter Ambrose could go on loan, while midfielders Sivert Heltne Nilsen and Leighton Clarkson, plus on-loan centre-half Alfie Dorrington, face uncertain futures.

I don’t mean to be dismissive, but just how the fuck will we get rid of 6 of these duds? The team is toiling and I can’t see many players attracting suitors.

Surely we’re not paying off players who are 6 months into new 3 or 4 year deals either.

I’d be impressed if we can get rid of two players we really don’t want.

Well of the 6 listed by the p&j, 1 is on loan, 1 is out of contract, 1 is clarkson who i'm sure will have suitors. I didn't say 6 duds would be gone..

Yengi, Vinny, Ambrose - won't be missed in the slightest. If we can get anyone to take them without having to pay them off it'll be a bonus.

Nilsen - hopefully goes back to Norway. Well past it.

Clarkson - never been a big fan tbh. Never really been played to his strengths since he signed permanently tbf, and for some reason he's behind worse central midfielders in the pecking order under Jimmy, but we'd be as well get rid of him while can make get a bit of money for him and help create space for the proper overhaul the midfield needs ASAP.

Dorrington - been a bit unlucky with injury since he came back. If we are persisting with the back 3 you'd think there will be plenty of game time for him once he's back at 100%.

Palaversa
Clarkson
Nilsen
Dorrington (potentially)
Ambrose

All names mentioned.

Won't miss most of them.

Yup. Far more attractive if it’s a permanent though.

If Sevco paid something like £600k training compensation for Cameron, then surely we’d get him for something slightly less than that, and get £1m for Clarkson, everyone’s a winner.

Although, noticed the Sevco manager mentioned him today at their presser so maybe he’s not completely out of the picture there.

Could be tried with new injuries and his current squad letting them down.

Can't see him coming here tho in any format

Lyall Cameron would be a great replacement for Clarkson in Jan, if we can pull off that transfer.

Should be in for Bailey Rice while at it. Can’t understand his lack of games. Always looked good when I’ve seen him. Out of contract at end of season with probably bigger clubs than us looking at him.

Off to Villa in Jan, by the sounds of it.

In any case, we’d probably just add him to our Development squad

He must look at miller's move and massively regret his decision. Rice was rated the better of the pair

I always wonder if they do a review of the squad in place that involves checking fitness levels etc , and then decide on this who should stay, who should be looking for action elsewhere or just GO.

I'm sure they do and if course wouldn't publish for us.

Would like to see some more athletes with pace etc. not hammer throwers but stronger and more suited to Scottish football

It’s no guarantee for everyone, but playing regular first team football has definitely been massive for Miller.  On a similar topic, hearts apparently have a 15 year old who’s an incredible talent and not far away from the first team!  Seemingly he’s away to Man City when he turns 16, where he’ll probably bounce around their system for the next five years, without a sniff of first team football…
