Just saw that

shame he has been a completely unknown entity to us for years who we couldn’t have signed for the same money or possibly even half of what we spent on any of keskinen or jensen

Aye it was obvious the year that Kilmarnock got promoted that he was going to develop into a good player. That's about 4 years ago now

He’ll be lucky to make Celtic’s bench.

McGregor, Hatate, Engels, Nygren, McCowan, Bernardo.

Probably all 6 would be ahead of him.

Great for his bank balance, career suicide

I don't think this will be the case career suicide wise.

He'll join as a squad player, might even find they loan him out to a club outwith Scotland after 6-12 months if he hasn't become a first team regular by then. It may become clear midway through his contract that he's not going to make it there but even if he then sits out his contract, he'll have had a decent sized signing on fee plus big enough wages to ensure he's comfortable for life. He'd then leave for a club similar to Killie for sure on much less wages but still decent money. Maybe with a few medals in his hipper if he'd made the Celtic bench without being a regular starter.

Sadly, although understandably, players these days understand it's a relatively short career and will prioritise making as much money as possible as quickly as possible. If he does turn out to be as good as he looks right now, he'll get a move to a (not necessarily bigger) club in a league considered better than Scotland down the line.

He'd make the Scotland squad though.
