I don’t think anyone is expecting much out of Cyprus, but we have to win this.

Jimmy has now had two full 90 minutes to suss out Motherwell in the past six weeks, we’ve lost both times. If he can’t get the upper hand this time, considering the difference in resources and having played them twice already I think that would be a damming indictment on him as a manager.

Big game for him and us.

Played them twice this season and lost pretty pathetically in both games. Don't think they've looked particularly good in either game against us.

We have to win this one and stop being so shite at home.

Disagree with that, thought they were excellent in the game up here.

Have you seen how many Motherwell and St Mirren fans are at Hampden?

Im not an 'attendance' prick but fucking hell, no ones there 🫣

Given their average attendance that’s two very healthy supports. Not their fault it’s being played at a ridiculous venue.

The population of Motherwell is 35,000, they have 8,500 fans there, that’s 25% of the population of the town.

That’s an excellent attendance by anyone’s standards.

Need to win this one.  Motherwell play some good stuff but im not convinced they are as good as the look on the eye.  The big question though is will we defend properly and create and take chances at the other end ?  If we press right e can force them into mistakes.

St Mirren were strong and organised in and around their box. Happy to let Motherwell play in front of them and wide then hit them fast and hard when they managed to get possession, normally when Motherwell full backs were up the pitch and they just had their centre backs to deal with.

Motherwell are a bit light up front and at centre back so it worked a treat.  Not dissimilar to the way that teams like to deal with us, ironically.
