Going further back I remember Ruud Krol and Paul Breitner being right footers who played left side. Closer to home Denis Irwin was a famous right footer. And Danny McGrain and John Greig played a large part of their careers on the left side despite being right footers. Focusing on their best foot is a bit of a red herring. It's how strong your 'wrong' foot is that really matters. Stewart mckimmie was just as comfortable at left back, Was Maurice Malpas not right footed And Lubo Moravcik no one actually knows if he was left or right footed he was so good with both Link to comment

In basic terms, any theory which suggests that Aberdeen should have been looking to replace Miller or McLeish at centre half based on them having the same stronger foot is rendered nonsensical right from the start. strachanmcgheegoal
Aye you can see Maddison and Thielemans walking out pre match discussing how much of a privilege it is just to be there in a match against a team of Chelsea’s quality. Not. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Strikes me as a total weirdo but Brendan Rodgers has done brilliant pretty much everywhere he’s been. Was hardly a disaster at Liverpool, nearly won the league for the first time in about 25 years with them. Wonder if he’ll get a go at city, utd or chelsea? Link to comment

Rodgers came in and had the invincible season and only really added Dembele and Sinclair. Don’t think they cost much either... wasn’t dembele only about 500k? Near enough what we paid for Stevie may a year later ? Link to comment

Aye amazing what a bit of confidence, a winning mentality and a shrewd tactical brain does for a team, because your right, he didn’t spend much at the start. We possibly should have pushed the Celtic for the title, they did have that big lump van dijk right enough Link to comment
