tightbreeks
Lol. The huns can't get their minds over the fact that gerrard left for a relegation threatened premiership team. I bet they thought he was going to some top team in England or Europe and then Liverpool. He got out as soon as he could, coz he knew he had taken them as far as he can and he was just lucky that the rest of the league, and to the huns, celtic were useless. Maybe villa will have the mythical new manager bounce back, but as soon as they come up against one of the top sides, reality will kick in. He seems a nice bloke, so best of luck to him. tightbreeks
He's seen the finances for the next few seasons and even if they have good runs in the champs league, they'll still be basement buyers as the banks will want the loans paid tout-suit. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Beale wants to be a manager in his own right. Will be a clear indicator that the Huns don't have the finances they need to progress if he opts to go with Gerrard rather than taking over. Link to comment
tightbreeks
Oh, I forgot the huns are a massive club in Europe never mind the UK. How on earth stevie g could leave them for a mid table english side. I think the 3 million that the huns get in compensation had a hell of a lot to do with it. It's gone straight to the accountant. tightbreeks
I think you get half a million for winning the spl. I could be wrong, but it's peanuts compared to what you get for finishing 15th in the epl. So 3 million is like winning the lottery. Link to comment
tightbreeks
Apologies its more like 3.5 million, but still nothing compared to what teams get in the English top league, no matter where you end up. Link to comment
tightbreeks
I bet the huns think they will get 20 million for ryan kent and about the same for morelos if aston villa come calling. 10 million for the pair, no more-les no less. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Wonder if Gerrard will try sign Patterson for Villa in January? Or will he go after the better RB CR22 Link to comment

Unless he is wanting to do the Huns a massive favour financially at Villa’s expense & pay exaggerated fees for inadequate players/value such as Kent, Jack, Travernier. will be very notable that he will have zero interest In Morelos at all other than the west coast media mafia making up all kinds of BS rumours with inflated fees for him & half the team. Their media machine will be unbearable late December/January window with all the shite they’re going to make up rgds Villa after Huns players to inflate prices & make a dent in debts Link to comment

Kamara and maybe Paterson I would say. Link to comment

aberdeen1970
He's nae daft. Villa have ambitions of finishing top half and getting up there challenging for top 6. Not one of the first team at the Huns are capable of playing at that level consistently. I'd be shocked if he goes for even one of them. 1 Link to comment

Poodler
Davie Provan insists Aston Villa would have been an even bigger lure for Steven Gerrard than Leicester City was for Brendan Rodgers. The former Celtic manager left Parkhead midway through the season to take charge of the Foxes back in 2019. But SunSport columnist Provan reckons Villa have even more potential to do well under Gerrard's leadership. He told Go Radio: "If Leicester City were attractive enough for Brendan Rodgers to leave Celtic, then Aston Villa are an even bigger lure for Steven Gerrard. "Villa are a bigger club than Leicester. "They have every bit of potential or probably a lot more potential than Leicester." villa are a bigger club than the recent league champions. tightbreeks
Oh yeah, I forgot that leicester won the epl not that long ago and hammered man utd. They've spent the money they got for grealish already. So I've no idea why provan is bum licking villa/gerrard already. Probably wants first dibs at a succulent lamb one on one interview. tightbreeks
Had a wee deacus at a villa chat room. They seem 50/50 about gerrard becoming their manager. Doesn't really surprise me. Realists and fans that would support bungle the bear if he became their manager. Link to comment
