Done a few of the pubs on the number 17 route.

Back in the day when the Auchmill Inn was on the go.

My flat was about 20 steps from there, was a not bad place, the function rooms were good for night outs as well, shame it closed. The snooker club is another that still remains empty, must be 20 years now, would love to see inside.

Do a no 17 bus pub crawl. Start in Dyce and get on bus towards town - get day ticket.

Passes by Woodend Bar, Bankhead Inn, Four Mile, Cloverleaf, Staging Post, The White Horse, The Crown, The Northern Lights, Fountain Bar, Northern Hotel, Kittybrewster Bar, 524 Cocktail Bar, Butchers Arms, The Northern Bar, Coopers, Mither Tap, Balaclava and then your into town!!

Some of Aberdeen's finest in that lot to choose from and many walking distance from each other.

Could be something to do some saturday, would be a wreck by the final stop.

This thread has been a harrowing reminder of how pish the nightlife is in Aberdeen.

Seen a few mentions of Paramount :clangers2:

Jambo will have a good one anyway. Like an earlier post said, it's all about who rather than where. Went to Leeds for mine, and was top drawer.

It's really not. Lots of variety. Lots of bars. I enjoy it.

A load of old man boozers, and shite clubs take up the bulk of the thread.

After the pubs shut, where would you go around 1230-1am? From my experience, it would take an age to get in anywhere and you'd get robbed at the door and the bar (once you eventually get there). Had some great days and evenings in Aberdeen but the nightclubs were always absolutely gash except maybe Tunnels.

So you want a non old man place but not trendy like paramount, you dont want to queue or pay to get in and you want cheap booze.... =

Espionage

Plenty non old mannie pubs in Aberdeen not mentioned on this thread.

After a pub shuts I don't know where I'd go...Espionage sometimes, Nox sometimes (although it was far better when it first opened), Exodus maybe (cheap and good music). Or the casino. Or home.
