Betty Swallicks
Carry cash and cards. Wouldn't feel right without cash in my pooch. Cards have multiple uses also. So do notes tbf. Cards for big purchases, petrol, shopping and chopping.Cash for everything else. 1 Link to comment

King Street Loon
So do I. Was walking up George street the other day, early for an appointment. Thought I’d nip into one of these new cafes that keep popping up, for a coffee. Didn’t take fucking card. In the days of contactless, that’s very silly. Probably closed down within the year. Fuck carrying cash.If they're a new business and on a tight budget having the facility is maybe not cost effective for them.Costs money to have the facility does it not.I can see both sides of the argument though. Buy a machine and link it to your PayPal. If a self employed taxi driver can get it sorted, then any other business should offer it. Link to comment

About 30 quid a month - and 4% of the transaction - which you can always pass on to the purchaser of course. Point stands, no need not to have it. Link to comment
AllyDon
Ridiculous that PATG option is not available. As a club we should be trying to attract as many along to the games as we can to generate more income. 2 Link to comment
StandFree1982
Sub £30 rounds? LolThat limit is imposed by the pub/shop. They could lift that to £50+ and make it far quicker than having to stand there waiting for some arsehole trying to wade through a fist full of coins, fluff and golf tees, whilst trying to count out £3.50 in the most amount of coins possible. What would the costs be to install chip and pin machines at each turnstile? Maybe the club has looked into this option and it's not feasible? Link to comment

KingswellsRed
I would guess the club also want to get as many as possible into the habit of buying tickets in advance. That way if something comes up or the weather is bad they already have the money. For example the Kilmarnock cup game in the snow last year. Link to comment

Keeps the punters wanting to pay cash happy and gives the young minimum wage person a couple of quid. Win/Win for everyone. Link to comment

Tord31
I can see a slight arguement for PATG for South Stand / Merkland to save 5-10 minutes. Absolutely zero arguement for RDS or Main when the ticket office is essentially PATG anyway 1 Link to comment

Mr John
Realistically, cash at the gate bypasses security. I don't know if anyone has ever been banned from Pittodrie, but letting anyone pay their way into a stadium event with CATG is gone. Has anyone else thought of that, or am I the only candidate for MENSA on here? I didn't read every single post. 2 Link to comment
