paddy
Thought this signing was too good to be true. I wouldn't be surprised if he retired end of season Link to comment
Andy_123
He should have been given enough time to recover and regain fitness from his ankle injury he arrived here with. Doesn't look like he's even close to full fitness any time he's played so far. Link to comment
BWG
He never will be. Just another Gleeson type albeit with actual ability on the rare occasion he's actually fit. Link to comment

Durrant Dived
Really hope he can stay fit when he returns because there is no doubting there is a class player there. Doesn't look like any of us are holding our breathes though Link to comment

This is the market we are in, we can't afford to buy young players with something to prove, Ryan Christie being the obvious one. Link to comment

Except we could afford to buy him, our offer was accepted but Celtic had an injury crisis just before the window closed and kept him as cover. Link to comment
Guest the shepherd
Did we sign Craig Bryson on the recommendation of a medical report faxed by Derby County (The Velicka) or did he actually have and pass a medical at Aberdeen, prior to signing? What do they actually do in training, and what is the role of our Sports Scientist, Graham Kirk? Very worrying times ahead. Link to comment

Hopefully Russ Richardson follows McInnes out the door. Our scouting over the past however many years has been fucking dire. We seem to be the only team in the league that doesn't look abroad for players. Motherwell signed a Seedorf, we sign Greig fucking Leigh. Link to comment
Henry
Agreed, we've failed badly at signing players with famous names. Link to comment
NEM
We didn't sign him though. So obviously we can't. You said we can't afford to. The fee and wages were agreed but the transfer fell through because the tims had a load of injuries. So obviously we can Link to comment

The manager or the sports scientist. All I know is that 2 overweight, lazy but talented forwards in Stewart and Shankland have been and gone. Seemed to get their act together pretty quickly elsewhere. Link to comment

So obviously we can Celtic have about a million midfielder, not buying that for a minute. Why haven't we signed someone else of equal talent with that money then? 1 Link to comment
Andy_123
Was told at the time Lawell was the one who pulled the deal. Rodgers was still happy to let him go. Link to comment

We badly need a complete overhaul of training/management/scouting staff, which in turn would save a lot of money in wages and potential redundancy pay offs. There would be no requirement for pay offs/redundancies if there was no need for certain positions, i.e. sports scientists, football consultants, incapable coaches and scouts. There were hardly any injuries in the days when Aberdeen trained on Aberdeen beach or the car park in the shadow of the main stand, so cannot understand why we endure such extensive injuries nowadays when players seem to be even more protected compared with back then.
