The sub par housing was being sorted though, and social housing associations were trying to build houses - both of these have stalled since covid though due to funding cuts, and energy changes, being imposed by the Scottish Govt - or the Green Party in particular - now that they are no longer part of the power sharing process these may get kick started again, albeit it will not be until next years budget is announced - big slow down again this year in houses being built / renovated by landlords. Like you mention, all they do is play football in the park if its fine enough. Not heard of any increased crime in the area.
