Fair play to him for that if true. Did he not retire? I thought based off the statement the club released that the "lack of coaching options" menat Brown wanted to leave to pursue his coaching, again how true that is/was is up for debate Link to comment

Sure they let him on and talked about forums like this didn’t understand what he does and how good he is…. Link to comment

I mean whatever his positive qualities, he's never seemed the sharpest tool in the box... Mind you neither has Gerrard, and he's got an EPL gig now, so who knows. Link to comment

Ten Caat
Honestly thought he would have waited for the Dunfermline job inevitably becoming available in the coming days. Or maybe even the Kelty job in the same league if Kevin Thomson as expected gets the vacant Raith job. He could almost walk to either from his old home in Hill o' Beath. Still wish him all the best. Guest milne_afc
Thomson will fail miserably at Raith without the Conservatory Company paying wages on behalf of the club. Link to comment
Andy_123
Think Brown will be a disaster down there. What the fuck does he know about the English lower leagues after spending his entire career in the SPFL. Wouldn't be surprised if he lasts less time than he did here. Link to comment

Unless he gets in a lower league management dream team with experience to basically do his job, he’s fucked. At least he’s starting at the right level tho. Be lucky if any of the guff lads at that level will even have heard of him so he goes in there as an unknown. Doomed from the start. Link to comment

Wouldn't surprise me if he was a disaster, but neither would it surprise me if he turned out to be capable of fielding a winning side. What did Gerrard know about the footballing backwater that is the SPFL after spending his entire career in the rarified environment of the EPL. He did okay and now back in his natural environment. Gerrard was joining a team that was likely to be in the top 2 in the country and have a great chance of winning trophies. Brown will find life much tougher at Fleetwood than Gerrard ever had in Scotland Link to comment

No chance He'll end up at Hibs initially. Probably fairly soon given their managers tend not to last much more than 15 months. And once he's been in the Easter Road hotseat......and how he does.......will determine if he eventually makes a prodigal son's return to Celtic as their boss Link to comment
