Don_Corleone
There are no signs that Glass knows what he's doing, or that he has any kind of plan that looks remotely like clicking any time soon. The formation is a shambles, the style of play is boring and predictable, there's no excitement, and it's certainly not "attacking football" like it was supposed to be. We've got a coach who's worked with some of the best strikers in the world and our forward play is just as bad as anything we say under McInnes. The 3 loan signings are a waste of time - Longstaff the only one of proven quality left on the bench at the expense of Ojo!? Jenks slow and ghostlike, Samuels fast and useless. Watkins, Bates and Samuels in the door 5 minutes and injured already. We are in big big trouble - this is worse than the final season under McInnes. Link to comment

It was the right time for him and the club to part ways. We were only going one way with McInnes and it was backwards. It was an opportunity to get someone new in with some fresh ideas and enthusiasm, throw a bit of money behind it and try to press on... but looks 99% certain that we've picked the wrong man for the job. It's looking exactly like the Ian Cathro experiment at Hearts - seemed like an interesting, leftfield appointment... but turned out to be a complete shambles that won't last long. 1 Link to comment

He just says what everyone wants to here? He says we're going to play attacking, exciting football... blah blah blah. I mean every manager talks a good game surely? Nobody comes out saying "we're going to play horrendously boring football and maybe win the odd game and finish mid-table." I've no idea what they're doing in training, but they look completely out of sorts on the pitch, the players aren't on the same wavelength as each other, and they don't seem to have a clear strategy or style. The midfield is just full of similar players. Lewis Ferguson apparently worth millions... can someone tell me what's the difference between him and Murray Davidson? I just thought watching them both today that they're basically the same type of player. Link to comment

alscotoz
Glass is too nice. Doesn't strike me as somebody who would inspire you to go into battle with. Agree with the first bit - Glass just doesn’t posses the leadership qualities required to manage a club of our standing. How Dave the Rave ever thought otherwise is hugely concerning. Cormack comes across as a puritan, church going kind of guy, as Glass does. He’s not daft, he’ll remove Glass when the trapdoor moves ever closer in late October but who would he replace him with? Imagine Cormack working with a Brian Rice kinda guy? Not suggesting him, but an utter cunt of a manager, who would have to report to another Puritan in Steven Gunn? It’s a shitshow and no mistake Link to comment

RED_JOHN
I really think that ditching Joe Lewis and Lewis Ferguson onto the bench for a while will bring a change in our results. Both are going through the motions and aren’t performing anywhere near their capability. Time for some big changes in our team. Link to comment

I haven’t seen anything to suggest that we’re much , if any, better than the sides likely to be in the relegation battle. We didn’t exactly play Ross County or Livvy off the park. Motherwell and St Johnstone are mid-table teams and will be safe because they rack up a decent number of clean sheets. Even a game like yesterday , which should have been a goal-less draw, we contrive to lose a cheap, soft goal. Which is now the norm. I reckon we can already forget about challenging Hibs and Hearts to be best of the rest and qualifying for Europe. Right now I’d bite your hand off to stay out of the threat of relegation. And I don’t think it’s as simple as replacing Glass , although it’s already just a matter of time before he’s binned. The playing squad we’ve got now is nowhere near good enough. Link to comment
ericblack4boss
Is the common consensus not that you wait until the first round of games then you look at the position from there, We all know new manager would be a gamble, and the lack of imagination and creativity that Hun DMC had implanted in the club before he fucked off had to be eradicated, Glass has made a big error not appointing a senior experienced assistant, maybe he's worried that such an appointment will try to undermine him and want the manager job himself? But regardless he is struggling to get his message across to the players, or if he is then the message is wrong and an experienced coach would possibly help. Cormack also fucked up,. The director of football role isnt a job for some mamby Pamby club administrator who has been hanging around the place for years, It needs a hard nosed individual, that has been in the game for a good period of time, who can relate to coaching, tactics, and man management requirements, someone who had worked under different regimes who isn't afraid to call a spade a fucking spade, and s man who can see a manager in trouble, and can offer sound advice, who will tell the chairman any failings in the coaching or on field performance, I'd like to think manager and director of football sit down once a week and have Frank , honest discussion, with the sole aim of improving the side, We know that arrogant ego driven weegie would never work under such circumstances, but Glass was brought in on this premise, and I can only assume he had a good idea Gunn wad getting the job, While Glass is certainly not excelling I'd let him have longer on condition he brings in an experienced assistant or coach Link to comment
