stonefish100
If Scotland don't make it to 2008 blame should lay squarely at the feet of the Huns and Tims! After the great result against the Ukraine last weekend the side was greatly disturbed by the wihdrawls of Hutton, Scott Brown and McCulloch, all big players for Scotland. Lo and ***king behold, all played in the Old Firm derby this weekend! ***king disgusting if you ask me. Those guys obviously has pressure applied from their clubs not to play. The result in Georgia could prove decisive, and the loss of these players for what were obviously minor injuries was a major factor for that loss. Link to comment
paulkaneatemyhamster
That's just petty any excuse to do in the OF, lets say it was dons players who were injured , pulled out of the Georgia game and then played v Inverness, would you think the same ? if there's anyone to blame its Mcleish for his poor selection and tactics v Georgia, pure and simple. Nespa
McCulloch was suspended! to to be fair to could see Brown wasnt on the wind up when he got takien off against Ukraine!!! a tight hammy isnt nice!! Link to comment
hebrewdon
We would never be in with a shout going into the last game if it wasn't for the old firm players Link to comment
swifty
We would never be in with a shout going into the last game if it wasn't for the old firm players Yep. McFadden plays for Everton. Link to comment
paulkaneatemyhamster
Yep. McFadden plays for Everton. But Brown & Hutton have been equally important, also like him or not Ferguson has been invaluable. take red specs of folks, this has been a whole effort by all the players regardless of which team they play for Link to comment
hebrewdon
Yep. McFadden plays for Everton. Really!!!!!!!!!!! Who do Caldwell and Beattie play for then I believe they scored the winners against France and Georgia at Hampden Link to comment
massie1903
I still think the blame rests on the colour of the kits! [/sarcasm] FFS! We've done well this far, no one even expected we had a chance, and even if we don't make it, it's still been a great campaign, and can only but improve! Link to comment
roosterbooster
well that would rank with one of the dumbest comments ive read on here. Watching Old Firm game could see Brown wasn't fit for Celtic. Dont think anyone anywhere can blame anyone who has been in the Scotland set up over last year or so for lacking in any commitment and to do so is absurd. Link to comment
tlg1903
the only player iwas a bit miffed about was hutton. Had a stormer on saturday and given how bad murty played in georgia was probably the biggest miss out there. Link to comment
Guest LondonScottish
Yep. McFadden plays for Everton. Scotland only has one player??? Link to comment
Guest LondonScottish
WE ALL DREAM OF A TEAM OF JAMES MCFADDENS, A TEAM OF JAMES MCFADDENS A TEAM OF JAMES MCFADDENS Can't we squeeze Craig Gordon in there somewhere?? Link to comment
vanderark14
i can see where you are coming from here stonefish. its really annoying when this happens. Caldwell Brown and Hutton all supposed to be injured yet they are giving it their all just 2 and half days later. (especially hutton). all this about cancelling old firm games to give players rest is crap they are paid alot of money to do something they love. that said if scotland dont qualify i will be gutted but the team have already acheived something as far as i'm concerned. the pride is back, and nobody would have thought we'd have double the points of Ukraine and have a chance of beating the world champions to get there.
