Dandyjam
Leicester have finally granted permission for Gary Megson to hold talks with Bolton and Milan Mandaric thinks he'll be named as their new manager in the next 3 hours. Can't see why Bolton are so desparate to get him, don't think he's that good a boss. And as for Megson, he wouldn't know the word loyalty if it hit him in the face. Mandaric took him back into football after 18 months out of the game and after just 6 weeks he jumps ship when a Premiership club come in. Complete tool. :angry8: Link to comment

Now the Bolton chairman are realising how much of their "success" was down to Sam Allardyce. At least Megson will be well clued up about Championship football for next season. Link to comment
vanderark14
dont see why he's their target to be honest. Bolton are my tip for relegation anyway Link to comment

BTR
Aye, I canna see the fuss over Megson at all. Everything he's touched has turned to crap - God knows what he'll do to Bolton. Surely there's a hundred managers out there who'd do a better job than him. A ridiculous appointment. Link to comment

Sonoftherock
Megson was sh*te for Forest, he squandered millions on some absolutely rotten players.... by all accounts down here the Leicester supporters are glad to see the back of him before he does the same to their club! Link to comment
fatshaft
Awful appointment. The Bolton boards are raging, protests planned for tonight's UEFA games by some. he is unanimously the worst choice out of everyone that was mentioned, in fact he wasn't even mentioned by single fan, even though some would have had Peter Reid or Graeme Penis. If we stay up now, it'll be more than a miracle. MEgson is by the way, a friend of the Chairman, there seems to be no other reason for this appointment. Link to comment

Why do people like him continually get jobs, and good jobs at that? I personally thought George Graham would have been perfect for Bolton. Link to comment

Stuart Baxter for next Dons boss anyone? Link to comment

Westendorfer
Absolutely correct. I'm very surprised he's not come back though. I'm surprised too. There ain't too many British managers around who've won the trophies he has. He did a great job at Arsenal, and a very good job at Millwall and Leeds, plus he was the last boss to win a trophy at Spurs. I think his non-return might be more to do with the arthritis he suffers from, rather than any qualms from chairmen about the bung incident. Link to comment

Miss him from the box too, generally spoke his mind and obviously knew his stuff. Link to comment

If we go down, the positive will be more Dons games. Son-of-fatshaft, despite moving away when he was 2 (11 now) is much more into the Dons, so we'll probably take the odd Glasgow/Well/Killie/Gretna(if they survive) away game in instead out of the saved season ticket money. Every cloud and all that Link to comment

fatshaft
Only follow them if they're in the EPL like? Glory hunter! Yes. Nah, it's not that, it's the two twats Gartside has forced on us. I stopped going to Pittodrie after suffering a year of Porterfield and his god awful football. This is something similar. Lee was a shocking appointment, and I was against him from the minute he got the job, to get another clown to replace him is astonishing. The Bolton boards are just full of misery today, if I didn't have a season ticket I wouldn't be there on Sunday, absulotely no motivation whatsoever. Link to comment
