Guest redbrigade
FFS. He's stacking shelves in Markies in Inverness. Surely there must be a coaching job out there for him somewhere!? Link to comment
NorthernLights24
FFS. He's stacking shelves in Markies in Inverness. Surely there must be a coaching job out there for him somewhere!? Thats really sad to hear especially when you see ***kers like Rooney driving about in their flashy sport cars and throwing money at granny prostitutes. Link to comment

Nespa
Hard to believe considering the work he is doing on Radio! .....but i used to work with his mum who was head of security in Asda in Coatbridge so maybe..... Link to comment
Bobby Connor
I really hope this turns out to be false This guy was a Scotland internationalist FFS! Link to comment
Guest El Padre
The guy was a legend in Dnipro, had time for every single fan who approached him. God bless Brian Irvine! Link to comment
Dandyjam
Dobbin will always be a legend. I'd love to see him back at AFC in some capacity though. Link to comment
WorthALook
FFS. He's stacking shelves in Markies in Inverness. Surely there must be a coaching job out there for him somewhere!? I'm a bit skeptical as to how much truth there is in this. Sure he wasn't just picking up cans of soup like yer normal shopper? Either way, I grew up watching Brian Irvine. Played for the jersey like others have already said. Hope he's doing alright in life. Personally I'd give Mckimmies column to him! Link to comment
Guest redbrigade
He's my parents neighbour, the story is genuine I'm afraid.I thought he was doing some community coaching as well but I'm not so sure. Link to comment
RUL
Not being funny but what happened to his playing cash, surely he must have made some cash out of being a professional for over a decade? Bet he regrets that "clash of the dons" testimonial now! Link to comment
paulkaneatemyhamster
What a damn shame surely Dobbin should be doing the dons coaching schools up in Inverness rather than take the job of some 16 year old Pole Link to comment
roccovellhung
Och, mibbe hes saving up for a trip to Lourdes? - he's just like the rest of us ye ken Link to comment
badly don boy
he was on the radio today. this thread smells of sh*te, as does the" Anyone else hear mcleish has quit???" thread - despite the fact he was on the news boarding a plane to SA with Gordon Smith. Yes, I definitely smell sh*te. Link to comment

CtS
You've got to admire him really. Obviously needed a few quid so he got out there and starting working for it, I wouldn't expect anything less from a character like Brian. Love this picture, Bursting with pride. Link to comment

Can't say that about many of those jokers in our squad these days unfortunately. Link to comment
Milners
I was speaking to him in dnipro and he mentioned he is not coaching at the moment. If there is one club that should offer him a job its the dons. We own him for his service he gave to the club and if he is a decent coach then we should get him with the youths imho. Still if the job is to get away from the hoose then fair play to him. Link to comment

RUL
AFC don't owe him anything imo, they paid him as a professional footballer and he offered 100% committment, it was much appreciated but the game goes on. Loved him as a player and sat through his absymal testimonial to pay tribute to the man. If he's a better coach than what we already have then get him in but we don't owe him a job and I am sure with his character he would never expect it either. How is he getting on in general health wise anyway does anyone know? Link to comment

Guy is great with people and has utmost respect of almost everyone. Link to comment
swaddon
If he's happy enough stacking shelves, then fair enough. If he's not, well surely someone in the Highland League will need a manager, OK, so he didn't exactly succeed at Elgin, but maybe he's learned from his mistakes. Link to comment
foolsgold 9.53
He's too nice a guy to be a football manager but i agree a community coaching role in some capacity would be an excellent role for him ala Simmie He scored the winning goal in a cup final FFS..... the least he should be doing is running his own boozer or summat.
