For anyone who is interested, I was just speaking to my boss there.... who is an avid Sunderland fan. Anyway, he tells me Russell made his comeback last night in Sunderland reserves victory over Newcastle. Apparently he was man of the match and is tipped for a first team comeback on Sunday against Portsmouth.

Shocking defending for both goals (the first especially). I can't see Anderson making the same mistakes - he has too much experience for that.

 

Gordon embarassed himself for the second goal, but had done well to keep the scoreline down up until then.

guy is an arse of the highest order. one of the best midfielders ever but still a prick.

I liked Roy Keane as a player and want to like him as a manager but he went today and splashed two mill on that eejit Bardsley that was at Ib*ox. He is awful and Keane is no manager if he thinks he is worth that kind of money.

 

Would be great to see Russell getting a run in the team.
