Uefa To Trial Extra Assistant Referree's

Uefa are backing a change in football's rules to allow two extra assistant referees either behind each goal or in the penalty box. The idea will be trialled in youth tournaments as an alternative to goal-line technology.

i agree this is a good idea, and def worth a trial.

 

but would it not just be better for another assistant referee to be sat in the stand with access to replays, so he could say if it was or wasn't over the line, should a decision need to be made. That was he could slow it down and look at it from all angles.
