Nespa
Just as well i never put a fair few quid on Tommy Burns as i was advised last night to do!!!! Link to comment
Milners
Quite funny that no-one on TAMB messageboard has said Burley has got the job. I love these SSN and Santa News ramping in the managerial market for betting purposes. Link to comment
sheep_shagger
There's a meeting tomorrow apparently to discuss who it will be but all of a sudden Burley has become the hot favourite apparently. Link to comment

fatshaft
On setanta news now. I wanted mcgheeLikewise, but Burley next best choice. I was always sceptical of McGhee taking it, he's got to rebuild a reputation of always jumping whenever a better job comes along. Link to comment
Nig
Out of all the candidates, Burley has to be my choice Burns/Souness-done nothing of note for years McGhee-decent half a season at Motherwell after years of jumping from club to club down in England achieving nothing Burley-did really well with Ipswich and if left alone at Hearts had a real chance of winning the league, gone a bit quiet at Southampton but they've got money worries so might explain why their down bottom half Link to comment
Dandyjam
Quite happy with this and was my first choice as I explained on the Scotland manager shortlist thread. Link to comment
fatshaft
McGhee just quoted on the Sky Sports ticker, that the SFA will allow him to combine the Scotland role with his Motherwell job. I really don't like that option. A lot of his players are in England, how is he going to have time to watch them properly while running Motherwell? Link to comment

The Oxford Don
Very pleased with this, assuming that it happens. He was by far the best candidate - McGhee will be a great Scotland manager one day if he wants it, but Burley is a better choice at the moment IMO. Link to comment
KennyS
Best of an uninspiring lot. And his greatest quality is that he's not Burns or Souness. Still, see what happens. Link to comment

Agree with that. so glad it wasnt Burns or Sourarse. McGhee i wcould have accepted but Burley is the man for it Link to comment
Dandyjam
Has named his first squad for a training camp. Link No real surprises there although maybe slight surprise Russell is in considering so little first team action. Link to comment
NorthernLights24
Alexander and Murty FFS! Surely we must have better options then that two. Link to comment
Dandyjam
Thought he may of called up a few younger players but he's maybe just wanting to meet up with existing squad and check them out in training etc before making a decision on first proper squad for Croatia game. Link to comment
