One minute Benjani was late so the deal couldn't go through, then Defoe is apparently on a loan deal as the fee they were supposed to pay to Spurs was dependant on Benjani leaving. Now Benjani has signed for Man City for a completely different fee than was first mentioned and Portsmouth are now denying that Defoe was on a loan deal in the first place and has in fact signed for them!
