NorthernLights24
What's the score? Materazzi sending off 2 soft yellows 0-0, its pretty poor stuff to be honest! Steven Thompson is the only player I recognize on the pitch. Link to comment
OneZanderDiamond
0-0, its pretty poor stuff to be honest! Steven Thompson is the only player I recognize on the pitch. I take it that it's Cardiff's reserves then. Is that what Thompson's been reduced to now Anyway, Champions League. I'm watching the Liverpool game and they have been by far the better team. I reckon they'll win tonight. European specialists and all that. Especially with Inter down to 10 men. Interesting that Inter only had one Italian in their starting line-up and he's been sent off. Just saw the replays of the bookings and both of them are extremely harsh. Link to comment
Tord31
For anyone watching the Liverpool game.... that was ten times as much a penalty just now than Maybury's was. I don't especially like Liverpool but it was. Still frustrated about that penalty last week. Link to comment

Dandyjam
Thought Stevie G's shot was net bound as soon as he hit it! Great win for Liverpool after the shambles on Saturday and wouldn't be surprised if they at least reach the final again! Link to comment
vanderark14
What's the score? Materazzi sending off 2 soft yellows 1st one was definately soft. 2nd card was utter stupidity from Meterazzi. he knew he was on a yellow and committed that foul. i was glad he went anyway. the guys a cheat. last night was the first time i've wathced the full 90 minutes of a Champions League match for ages. great game and Liverpool deserved their 2-0 win. they seem to have the same attitude as our players. when it comes to the European stage they are all up for it but anything on the domestic scene they couldnt give a rats ass about. Mascherano is some player he broke up everything Inter did before they got near the Liverpool defence. that game was screaming out for crouch with the amount of long balls and crosses going in. sheep_shagger
Thought Liverpool were impressive last night and deserved their win, though up against 10 men you've got to expect them to win it eventually. Thought the sending off was harsh. The first booking i dont think should have been given but the second Torres was getting past him and even though it was the slightest of touches as soon as Torres goes down he had to get booked i thought. Metarrazi knew what he was doing. he pulled Torres back. Link to comment
OneZanderDiamond
Well, I was delighted. I had 2-0 down. As you say they're just like us European specialists. I couldn't see anything other than a home win despite Inter being undefeated for 5 months. I think Materazzi's sending off definetly had something to do with his reputation, another player may have got a final warning It will be interesting facing them in the Super Cup Final Link to comment

Dons V Liverpool Super cup sounds good to me. is it still in Monaco every year? would be fun Link to comment

If it had been a younger defender it could be called naive but Materazzi really should have been more wary. Yep, still in Monaco. Link to comment

sheepshagger89
dont care. they are out. indeed they are given their truly awful away record. however, it was hardly men against boys was it? celtic put up a good fight and were possibly unlucky not to get anything more out of the game. Barca had 63% of the possession and battered celtic in the 2nd half I agree with Vanderark, Barca going forward last night were a different class all together. There one and two touch passing was brilliant to watch. Think there approach was ' if you score one, we'll score two ' which is very good to watch. Caldwell did make a mistake at the goal but Henry still had alot to do, they wouldnt of got punished against a lesser side. Link to comment
