Birmingham seem to have finally found their feet a bit and I think they will be fine. Reading are a good side and I reckon they will claw their way out too, and I think Sunderland are capable of picking up a few more points, certainly at home. Newcastle and Boro are far too good to go down I would think. Which leaves Bolton and Wigan, neither of which I would be sorry to see go down! Link to comment
paulkaneatemyhamster
No one is too good to go down at the start of he season I wanted Sunderland to go down, and if it's not oging to be Newcastle, i still want Sunderland to go down. Link to comment
vanderark14
i want a last day of the season scrap between Sunderland and Newcastle. Newcastle to be siiting 3 points behind Sunderland with a vastly superior Goal difference. Newcastle lead all the way through their game and sunderland lose a goal in the 80th minute leaving Newcastle to stay up. The Newcastle game finishes with the geordies gan wild thinking thyeve done it, only to find out that their biggest rivals have equalised in the 96th minute, leaving us to watch 50,000 greetin geordies. i always like to watch the relegation fight at the end of the season. its better than the title run in. oh what fun that would be Link to comment
uni_don
I would like Newcastle to go down for sheer comedy value. I think it will be one of Newcastle, Bolton or Wigan that joins Fulham and Derby. Sunderland, Birmingham and Reading are capable of getting themselves out of the doldrums. Link to comment

They're only 6 points behind with 30 points to play for, and a couple of their star players just back from injury. It won't be easy, but don't write them off yet. Link to comment
southstandrebel
Derby and Fulham are doomed and the other one I want down is Reading. It would be hilarious to see someone the size of Spurs make the drop! Leeds are probably the biggest club to have been relegated followed closely by Forest... Neither of which came near to bouncing back up... Link to comment

Boro because I'm not a fan of Southgate. Newcastle for making the most ridiculous management appointment since Calderwood at Aberdeen. Wigan, because its Wigan. Where is it? Who cares? Steve Bruce, should have stayed where you were. Past Scotland Manager was able to keep em up.Bolton. Boring football team to watch. Want Brum to stay up cos of Eck. Or maybe not, give him the bullet and he can come back here?Sunderland to stay up because I want to see Keane turn into a top class manager. Passion is an underrated commodity. Derby can bounce back with new investment. Paul Jewell is another manager I want to see succeed.Fulham. Bah, who cares? About time they disappeared off the radar. Link to comment

Newcastle and Boro are far too good to go down I would think. Which leaves Bolton and Wigan, neither of which I would be sorry to see go down! Can't agree with that bit. It's a worrying time to be a Bolton fan, finally we're playing great football, but can't buy a win, ok Reading was one, but we murdered Pompey, and the scoreline at Ewood was a travesty, and Liverpool were sent on their way by a mistake that would make Clangers blush. Newcastle however are anything but too good to go down, they are a very very poor team, managed by the worst manager probably in the whole of Britain, Reading are the most over-rated team in the league, but I think they'll kick on from that win at the weekend. Birmingham with McGod & McLeish have definitely got their act together, and Sunderland will do enough. If I had to pick the three that would be fighting for that last spot, it's betweeen Bolton, Wigan & Newcastle now. Guest rocket_scientist
The Viduka factor would suggest it will be Newcastle or Boro. His debut for Celtic was incredible. Robbie Winters scored a cracker! Seriously, for our younger fans, it was a 5-1 humping at Pittodrie, and Viduka got two of them, but when Viduka was at Celtic, they never won a trophy! I was enormously impressed with his ability on the deck, and he was obviously a handful in the air, so I thought Celtic had uncovered a superstar. Then he buggered off to Australia for a self-proclaimed leave of absence. Then he fell out with the coaches and the manager at half time when Caley famously beat them in the Cup at "paradise", and John Barnes got sacked shortly thereafter. Then he went to Leeds in the Premiership - look where they are now. Then Boro, when they were competitive and playing well. And finally Newcastle, who are a joke. This man is not to be touched with a bargepole! Wherever he goes, trouble follows, big style. He's still not won a trophy in his career, so judging by his present club, also never having won a trophy in his lifetime (and most of ours), its going to be Newcastle, Keegan, Viduka et al. Spurs are packed every weekend , great history, but been pish of late ditto Everton, Aston Villa, Man City & Newcastle even Leeds & Forest are "big teams" , certainly compared with some of the dross in the EPL Link to comment

Guest rocket_scientist
Man Utd getting relegated was huge, as Newcastle getting relegated would be. Whatever they are, big club, very big club, massive club etc., they do have sell-outs at St James Park every week, and last I heard, had advance season ticket sales for their whole stadium going forward at least 3 years. With regard to their pulling power therefore, their ability to get bums on seats, they are a major sized EPL outfit. Just one that never wins a trophy, and unlikely to with the present manager. This season, prior to the 'keegan factor', it was fairly easy to get a ticket for St James's... It was only when he returned that the gullable gordies started flocking back. I wander what odds you'd get for the chance of a Carlisle-Newcastle Champoinship match next season.. Link to comment
