Fans of Glasgow giants Celtic are being urged to adopt Wycombe Wanderers as their second club by attending a special 'Celtic Day' at Adams Park.

Supporters of the Scottish champions are invited to next month's League Two fixture against Chester City, which had already been chosen as a community day at Adams Park.

Managing director Steve Hayes told wwfc.com: 'It's amazing how many links there are between Wycombe and Celtic. Paul Lambert, Neil Lennon, Rab Douglas and Steve Guppy all played for Celtic and, of course, Martin O'Neill is one of the most successful managers that either club has ever had.

'I'm sure Celtic fans keep an eye out for our results so we thought it would be a good idea to invite them down to Adams Park to see us play. They have a huge following in England and thousands of their fans live within an hour's journey of Wycombe. We've just been voted the best family club in League Two and it would be great if Celtic fans came and joined our family.'

When the Blues take on Chester on Saturday, April 19th (k.o.3.00pm), the Dreams Stand - normally reserved for visiting fans - will be turned into a Celtic enclosure. Chester supporters will be allocated seats in the end section of the BCUC stand and there will be no disruption to Wycombe fans who can take their usual places in the stadium.

Mr.Hayes added: 'Celtic played here a few years ago in a testimonial match for Jason Cousins and they brought a huge following. Their fans behaved impeccably and the evening was a great success. We said then that Celtic supporters will always be welcomed back to Adams Park and we'd love to see them here for the Chester game.'

More details of the 'Celtic Day' will follow shortly.

I know we had Danish Day a few years ago but this frigging ridiculous! At least Danish Day was a celebration for people at our club (Kjaer and Skovdahl).
