Goalkeepers: Gordon (Sunderland), Marshall (Norwich)

Defenders: Anderson (Sunderland), Berra (Hearts), Caldwell (Celtic), Dailly (Rangers), Hutton (Tottenham), McManus (Celtic), McNaughton (Cardiff), Naysmith (Sheff Utd), Whittaker (Rangers)

Midfielders: Fletcher (Man Utd), Hartley (Celtic), Morrison (West Brom), Rae (Cardiff), Robson (Celtic), Thomson (Rangers)

Forwards: Boyd (Rangers), Fletcher (Hibs), McCormack (Motherwell), McFadden (Birmingham), Maloney (Aston Villa), Miller (Derby)

 

We look particularly strong up front these days, with plenty of options, yet rather weak in central defence. Once Scott Brown and Barry Ferguson are back at full fitness, I'd say we're looking pretty strong in that department too!

why no Ferguson and McGregor, yet Dailly, Thompson & Whittiker are included :thumbup1:

 

Berra over Diamond still seems odd to me , already Zander, like Anderson before him, looks as if he is gonna be overlooked more often than not.

 

why is David Marshall still getting call up's ?

 

I think Barry Nic, over the last season or 2 has more than warranted a call up as well.

Was Anderson not in a lot of scotland squads anyway in his last few years at todders?

 

I thought he just never got a game and i canny see that changing under burley.

 

Anderson got called up fairly regularly when he was with us, I think he had this bad habit of picking up slight knocks and strains meaning his chances were always limited.

berra is hertz captain and what wi burley bein ex-hertz, guessin hes pickin the devil he knows over diamond.

 

Zander has deserved a call up this season and Burley has no excuse to not have seen him against some of europes best this season. The only thing is weve had a poor league campaign on paper. Notice everyone bar Berra is playing for a decent side who challenged for trophies, weve done little right so even though zander has been great, the team around him has let him down.

Definitely. Especially when Gavin Rae is in there. Classic case of it being who you play for that counts.
