Jaws
The Italy captain's just been ruled out of Euro 2008 with an ankle injury picked up in training. Major blow for them like. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11966_3642407,00.html Link to comment
Dynamo
Bit of a blow. He was superb at the WC 2 years ago, that was 2 years ago though and he hasn't had the best of season with Real.Is Nesta fit? They won the WC without him... Link to comment
Rank Bajin
Nesta has retired from international football. Gamberini of Fiorentina likely to be drafted in. Big blow that the Berlin Wall's out but they'll still get my tenner. Link to comment
Guest SS RED
That's sh*t, I like Cannavaro, brilliant player. Link to comment
KennyS
Damnit, that means I need to redo my fantasy team. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
I wouldn't say it's massive blow but a 'bit' of a blow. Cannavaro hasn't set the world alight this season and hasn't played amazing football so I don't think Italy will miss him that much. I'm sure Italy can find someone who has had a better season overall. I think its his presence they will miss most. Materazzi & Barzaglia are top quality replacements though. Link to comment
E-P-K
Adding to the injury list is Patrick Vieira, He has been ruled out of France's opener and more than likely will miss the tournament. Link to comment
Guest SS RED
They have Chiellini aswell. Link to comment

Sonoftherock
If I had to pick a team from Italian football it would be Roma, no real reason behind it other than I enjoyed watching Totti, he was / is a world class act. I wouldn't say I hate them, nor would I say I love them.........I enjoy football in general and like watching them play football. Italian football isn't what it used to be though. Italian football is full of cheats at the end of the day, Juve being the biggest bunch of them!! For the same reasons I usually favour Juventus in Italy. Del Piero was one of my favourite players growing up, I have great memories of him running riot during the Champions league in the late 90's. Link to comment
Guest SS RED
Del Piero is ace. He was one of my favourite all time players.I mean IS. Link to comment

Del Piero was my favourite player when I was younger and that's why I started to like Juve. Was gutted when he broke his leg against Udinese on Football Italia.Legend. Link to comment
Guest SS RED
Neve rliked Juve, they were the huns of italy. But Vialli, Deshamps, Del Piero, etc. were so good it was hard not to admire them. Link to comment

Ingolfsson
Used to love Inter in the early 90s. Zenga, Bergomi snd Ruben Sosa. Legends. Plus Bergkamp even though he was a bit of a dud out there. Link to comment
