I think India will be the next nation to turn into a decent footballing side, they have 1 billion people so even if 1 in ten are interested they have more players available than Germany, interesting story I thought anyway.

 

Just can;t understand why cricket is more popular than football anywhere but that may all change.

Quite a good move, will probably save them a shitload of cash in the long run aswell if they get an awesome player, he'll be paid next to nothing and probably be sold for a couple of million to a lesser side.

that actually surprises me, cant off the top of my head think when arsenal have done a tour of asia or the fact that they dont have any asian players and you've seen with the likes of fulham, man utd, celtic signing asian players to break into the asian market

Arsenal were one of the first to do it with Junichi Inamoto back in 01-02. He didn't play much during the season but went on to have a phenomenal World cup and at the time that gained a few quid from the japanese market.
