Has he got some sort of loyalty bonus for hanging around until the end of his contract?

Spoke to a tim about it this morning and we've agreed that the guy should get a sound kicking!

no idea what his deal is but he's obvioulsy thick as mince.

he is frigging up his career just for an extra

Scum?

Why should he take a 150k a year pay cut to make Celtic happy? After all, they are the ones who decided to offer him the deal and then not use him.

for the good of his career and further security for him and any family he has.

rotting on a bench wont get him a deal with anyone in a years time unless the manager of that club is insane

He rotted on the bench for a year already and other managers want him.

Bit much calling him scum for wanting his employer to honour his contract.

One thing I don't understand is how he's been rotting in the reserves for 2-3 years yet still gets massive offers to join other teams. :nono:

Both he and gravesen supposedly have significant loyalty bonuses (best part of a years wages supposedly) that are paid if they see out their contract hence they arent in a rush to move

Apparently Larrson had one as well - was paid for out of the match they had for him

so its no surprise they dont want to leave. Rather than blame the player/agent you have to wonder why the club would do it?

A professional sportsman having been told that his services were no longer required

would be keen to move on.

Balde is just happy to sit and do little and pick up a large wage.

His option obviously as he is under contract but celtic offered him a free transfer

so he could negotiate a deal with any interested club.

you are told

stay in this job for one more year and we will pay you two years wages and you wont have to do anything for it

or

move to a new job for 1 years wage

Dont care what your job is, if it was me I would stay put!

There is your answer. We've had similar arguments time and again on here, he's simply earning

That's LOL, they quote this....

"It's a complete non-starter," he told the club's official website.

"We have had no contact with Celtic on this issue whatsoever.

"It's completely out of our wage structure. What we want to try to communicate is that we just do not do this sort of wage - we don't pay that sort of money to anyone."

....and beside it have a pic of Balde with the caption...'Balde: In demand ' :) :)
