NorthernLights24
2021: GOAL England 0-1 Czech RepublicMilan Baros puts the opposition ahead with a shot on the turn from eight yards that goes in via a deflection off Ashley Cole. It came at the end of a sweet approach. If it stays like that, that will increase our chances of getting past England in the world rankings Link to comment
NorthernLights24
1-1 - Wes Brown but.....2104: GOAL England 1-2 Czech RepublicDavid Beckham concedes a free-kick on the edge of the box and Marek Jankulovski scores with a brilliant curling free-kick. A really fantastic strike. Link to comment

centraldon
2-1 Czechs again now. Cracking free kick as well. Still can't get used to Capello wearing an england jacket. Link to comment
NorthernLights24
The game sounds good by the looks of the BBC updates...2124: The increasingly influential Sverkos shoots at goal. It should be regulation for James but he spills the shot and has to dive forward to gather. This is fast becoming a shambles. The atmosphere is turning It gets better...2127: Fabio Capello looks absolutely furious as he implores his players from his technical area. No brolly for him. It is time to get serious and I for one could not care less if he dishes out a right royal something or other in the dressing room afterwards. I'm sensing a large chunk of the population turning against England - and who can blame them? Link to comment
centraldon
It isn't bad. James is making some howlers. Czeck boy rounded him on the right of the pitch after he ran out to get a ball he had no hope of getting, but defenders got back to spare his blushes. Link to comment

florin_raducioiu
Magic. Another game without winning for them. Do friendlies affect the world rankings? If they do, I dont think they do nearly as much as competitive games. Link to comment
zig-a-zig-ah
Capello seems to be getting grief about his selection/formations! Link to comment

If they do, I dont think they do nearly as much as competitive games. Yea they do affect the world rankings. Our awful record in friendlies under Berti Vogts did a lot of damage to our world ranking during his time in charge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_World_Ra...culation_method Link to comment

Also, on another thread of similar discussion, I think somebody suggested that England had far better results than us away to filter out in coming months meaning it is likely we'll close the gap on them again Link to comment
