Stadiums You'd Love To Visit?

Bloomfield Road, Blackpool is a stadium I would like to visit as regardless of it being small, unfashionable and less prestigious than other grounds I am sure the atmosphere inside the ground will make up for that.

Sometimes you go to stadium like the Allianz Arena, the Bernabeu and the Vicente Calderon thinking oh aye but they are not all they are supposedly cracked up to be just as I found during last season.

It's a dream of mine to watch Borussia Dortmund play here

Highest average attendance in the world currently.

25,000 standing behind the goal

Incredible

I'd love to attended a domestic game in Germany. Would love to experience the massive standing areas they have in their grounds. They really have found the balance between atmosphere and crowd safety. I'd love to see a similar thing happen in Scotland.

You're right, Germany really has mastered the thing line there. Really impressive.

Also amazing to see how fast a capacity filled stadium can be cleared at full time. Something I noticed as I fell over about three rows of chairs in a drunken stupor at the Allianz Arena.

I have actually been there for the Scotland game a few years ago. Excellant stadiums but very steep. Great noise in the arena thought it was the best ground right up until Allienz arena last year.

I think the steeper it is the better the atmoshpere.

Think about Tynecastle for instance, as an example.

Allianz Arena was superb though, it really was. Tour guide told us the it was built from the ground up to incorporate everything good in a stadium. Fold up seats behind the goal to allow terracing for Bundesliga matches. A semi-roof which they open to let the sun in and close not to keep bad weather out, but to keep the noise from fans from escaping.

Just a great place.

And those lights outside... frigging awesome. Guide told us there's a bi-law in Munich whereby the lights aren't allowed to change less than 2mins each time as there were too many crashes at the nearby autobahn with people watching it.

A proper match at The Bernabeu

Old Trafford

That little place where the Faroes v Scotland game was played - seems like a great setting.

But I'd have to think twice before returning to Gayfield - unless they put in central heating! Coldest place I've EVER visited.

I totally agree, one freezing b*stard of a ground. I was down there for our cup game in 2004-05 season and will never be as cold as that again in my lifetime. What eejit decided to build a football ground there right next to the sea?

Was there too. 2-0. Two pairs of socks on and my taes were still freezing. Thank God the sleet and wind were blowing down the field from behind our shed, literally!

Siena's ramshackle scaffolding stadium for me. Wonderful amphitheatre.
