SuperHans
Just heard Livi are having to delay the payment of December wages. (On Radio Scotland news, dont have a link) Do they have any players worth getting on the cheap if in financial difficulties? Link to comment
Sonoftherock
Just heard Livi are having to delay the payment of December wages. (On Radio Scotland news, dont have a link) Do they have any players worth getting on the cheap if in financial difficulties? Livi will be the next team, to fold completely, I'm afraid. They've been living beyond their means for far too long now - it's a pity, they've at least shown some ambition as football club. James McPake is a player I hear good thing about however, I'm sure I also heard there were a few teams down south looking at him. Link to comment

He's agreed to join Coventry at the end of the season. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ton/7763999.stm Their right back Dave Mackay may be worth a shout. Link to comment

minijc
It was my answer from when this was asked the last time they almost went in to freefall, now look where he is. Mcpake would have been my shout aswell, but will need to settle for Elliot, good striker banging them in. Link to comment
Batfink
The boy Griffiths who was scoring all their goals at the start of the season might be worth a look. Think he's injured though Link to comment
I Dream of Electric Sheep
Livingston players wait for wages Livingston players have not received monthly salaries due to be paid last week by the Division One club. The players were told on Monday morning that the money would be transferred from Italy on New Year's Eve. And they were promised that the cash would be put into their accounts as soon as possible after that date. Nobody from the West Lothian club, who play Dunfermline in a rearranged match on Tuesday, was available to comment on the situation at Almondvale. It mirrors a similar recent problem at Hearts, whose Lithuanian bankers have switched from a weekly to monthly payment system in an attempt to end delayed payments. Livingston have recently denied financial problems despite being sued for Link to comment

I used to HATE livi when they were in the SPL, such an unlikeable team but wouldnt to wish to see them go to the wall. Unfortunately a sign of the times and think we may see more teams like this struggle over the next year or so. As someone said in the paper the other day, if Woolworths is f**ked then what chance has football got? Link to comment
K-9
Wouldn't miss Livingston FC in the slightest same as Gretna. No history and short term toys for men with a bit of money. Link to comment
Lang Bar
It was inevitable they would end up in trouble if Pearse Flynn had anything to do with it.I have met the man and got the impression that he was a bit slimy. He is a man of many business ventures, but interested only in himself. Link to comment

Chris Innes must be thinking "Not again" at the moment. If he is released hopefully the Jambos sign him, they say things come in threes Link to comment
Sonoftherock
Are Livingston still struggling these days? I've been hearing good things about one of their young strikers, Leigh Griffiths, recently..... anyone seen him play? Apparently he looks a cut above playing in the first division. IMHO, these are the type of players we should be looking at, rather than spunking the best part of Link to comment

Dynamo
I used to like a trip to Livi. Night club under the stand and the shopping centre were always a laugh. Link to comment

Dandyjam
No one seems to know what Hegarty has done either. Probably nothing. An excuse to bin him if you ask me. Like you say OZD, a total farce. Davie Hay looking likely to take over permanently again. Link to comment

K-9
Similar last week - needed to sell 200 season tickets by end of week or club could fold. Who in right mind would buy a season ticket for a club that might fold in a few days? Link to comment
