robbo
good times. finland were training down the playing fields where my uni team plays so i went to watch them. some quality young kids in that team. was there today and it was a joke. the view on the tv made the place look busy....yes, the side on camera was busy. other side of the stadium was empty. attendance of 22k in a 70k seater stadium. Wales are a pathetic side lacking in any ideas creatively. You could see finland were lined up to catch wales on the counter using a 4-5-1. back 4 and keeper were solid. only way you were going to get past them was down the wings...instead, everything is lobbed into the air which Hannu Tihinen and Sami Hyypia loved. 1-0 down, take off karl fletcher (playing defensive mid) and puts on Carl Robinson to do the same job. Inspirational.... Link to comment

Also maybe its time Wales moved games like this to the Liberty stadium. Link to comment
robbo
if things go well, i think they have a good chance of getting to euro 2012. lots of good young players who are just very green to senior football. Ramsey and Gunter have the potential to be world class. Ledley though, think hes just about reached his peak. just got a text off my mrs about an hour ago, they are all in tiger tigers VIP section with the Finland squad. So her being a liverpool fan has attached herself onto Hyppia. Link to comment
E-P-K
Watched the game. And WTF is Bellamy doing as captain. All he did all afternoon was moan and gesticulate at his own players if the pass to him not not right and so on. Thats can surely have nothing other than add to already bad morale. Link to comment
Dandyjam
Did anyone hear Bellamy after the game? "Johansson scored but I don't know how. I don't think he is a good enough player to score." "They aren't even a good team, we lost but to be honest we're a better team" It was brilliant, but I was thinking "why oh, why is he Wales captain?" Best interview I've seen in a very long time!!!! What is it with the Welsh arrogance? I seem to remember an incident with Savage throwing away Maldini's shirt or something. Maybe someone who remembers can tell the story. Link to comment

Maybe someone who remembers can tell the story. He threw one of Maldini's shirts into a bin just before they played one another. Seemed to be intended as a joke that went very very wrong and Savage was booted out of the squad. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
There are a few Welsh sportsman harbouring seriously large chips on their shoulders.... Gavin Henson is another - stories of him burning wads of bank notes in Cardiff pub, not long after beating England the other week. Apparently a few of his team mates took him out back and gave him a hiding for his trouble! Link to comment
