vanderark14
Wolves are already up and have Iwelumo and Berra If Birmingham go up thats O'Connor and Faddy in the premiership. from the plyoff teams Burnley and Cardiff have quite a few scottish players in their ranks. could be a fair few playing in the EPL next season which can only be good for the national side. TheChimp
Burnley so I can go to Wembley. I was almost booking flights in January until Darren Bent scored. Link to comment
Tango Mans Taxi
It's one crazily competitive league the Coca-Cola Championship. Seems like every c**t can beat every c**t at some point! Obviously you have your better teams but even the teams at the bottom still find a win against the top boys half the time so it seems. Not so sure am bothered who goes up tbh. Link to comment
archiemacdougal
Can make a case for any of them deserving to go up. Sheffield Utd - After what happened last time they went down. Probably deserve some good fortune. Reading - Gave a great account of themselves in 06/07, unlucky to get relegated the season after. Burnley - Owen Coyle, good up and coming Scottish manager. Cardiff - Few scottish players and one ex-Don in the team. Preston - Couple of ex-Dons in the team. Swansea - err, they have Jason Scotland... Link to comment

NorthernLights24
Burnley - Owen Coyle, good up and coming Scottish manager. Wasn't he one of the members of Bobby Charlton's Plastic Paddy brigade? Link to comment
archiemacdougal
probably but they also have kevin mcdonald and steven thompson!! steven caldwell also! Would they be given a shot in the premiership? All hypothetical, but could see them being given the Malky Mackay treatment and enhanced replacements brought in if they did go up. Wasn't he one of the members of Bobby Charlton's Plastic Paddy brigade? Aye, played 7 minutes for them in a friendly. Link to comment

NorthernLights24
Jack Charlton I thought it was Jack at first but went with Bobby. What an international career though 7 minutes, I knew it was brief but that is laughable. Link to comment

Seeing as kevin mcdonald is one of their best players and caldwell their captain id say they had a strong case of playing in the premiership. Thompson maybe not. Coyle played more than 7 mins, thought he was in world cup 94 squad! Link to comment
gypsymuffin
Would like to see Cardiff get promoted. How is Berra getting on at Wolves? Is he playing week in week out? Always thought he was a excellent defender. Link to comment

Thompson maybe not. Coyle played more than 7 mins, thought he was in world cup 94 squad! In the championship. Would they be good enough to play in the EPL? Would Burnley be naive enough to move up a division and keep the same team? Dont know what their finances are like, but if they did get promoted, first thing I would do if I was Owen Coyle would be to buy an experienced centre back with EPL experience. Link to comment
Maguire89
About Burnley:''Its the most segregated city in the UK, a BNP stronghold, where Asians and whites only meet to riot'' taken from The Guardian Why do Scots go there then? Link to comment
minijc
Obviously to beat up some Asians. Link to comment
archiemacdougal
Birmingham fairly bottled it at the weekend. If Reading beat Norwich tomorrow, they could achieve automatic promotion by defeating Birmingham next Sunday. Depends on Sheffield United score, but could be winner takes all scenario. If Norwich do lose, thats more or less than down. Doubt Gunn would get the job permanently in that scenario. Step forward, Jimmy Calderwood. Link to comment

Yes, but one of their best players and biggest prospects as well as their captain. Dont think Caldwell is good enough for anything more than Championship but McDonald is class and will play in the premiership one day. Most teams who get promoted stick with their captains, no matter how poop they are at football. Link to comment
