dont know if anyone here also watches this glorious weekly show but its one of the highlights of my week and has been for over 2 years now.

 

basic premise is his tagline "i remember it so you dont have to". he watches movies from the past 15 years and rips on them. sounds crap and similar to what loads of other people do/have done but TGWTG.com are very very good at it.

 

this weeks episode has to be one of my favourites that hes ever done:

Fuck sake, just released that he is not doing any more Nostalgia Critic videos. The last one was Scooby Doo on on the 19th of September. I just thought there hadn't been any new episodes due to the To Bloody Flee special they just did. Can't believe its taken me this long to find this out

 

He is meant to be doing something else as by the sounds of it he was worried the whole Nostalgia Critic thing was starting to get stale. I'm gutted though as coming back from work and watching a new episode was the highlight of a Wednesday for me!!

 

I need to find some new internet series to watch. The Angry Video Game Nerd doesn't appear to put out as many videos as he once did due to the projects he has on and they just aren't nearly as good as they once were IMO. Spoony as well isn't exactly prolific when it comes to releasing stuff either.

theyve even bought a small studio. big risk given that their most popular show is no more. but then, i agree, it was getting stale. i used to watch them all every week, then watch them again some time later. over the past year though ive only watched ones ive actually been interested in seeing. so i guess hes right

I guess everyone reaches a point where they find something they once enjoyed stale. I was still enjoying the NC episodes and was watching them every Wednesday.

 

However I have reached the stale phase with Zero Punctuation. I've barely watched a ZP episode over the last year or so.

funnily enough, im the opposite. i still watch ZP. his reviews are getting stupid and hes a proper troll, but its 5 mins everyweek i want to see.

 

critic and the nerd unfortunately didnt have that same draw.

 

im the same with OverTheGun on youtube. ive watched loads of lets players over the years, seen countless hours of videos and eventually got bored of them all. OtG is the only 1 i still enjoy watching.

He's new project wasnt very popular, and he recently bought a new studio. Needs money I reckon...........

The is more then likely to be the reason. I mean I haven't visited the site that often since he stopped doing the NC videos. It was a big gamble to drop the sites most popular series and looks like it hasn't exactly paid off as he would have liked.

 

Although the two new reviews seem to be of very recent movies. Hopefully he gets back into the swing of things soon with some reviews of long forgotten classics.
