sooth_stander
Lucky lucky boy. To be that frustrated after only 8 mins shows how unstable he is. I reckon Utd are better with Hernandez and Berbatov up front. Heck of a difficult run of games coming up right now for the Reds. Link to comment
K-9
Doesn't say much for Mark Clattenburg's integrity when he is saying he thinks he took appropriate action (nothing) Link to comment
King Street Loon
I reckon Rooney needs to see a shrink. Seriously think this lad has issues. Link to comment

boboisared
Normal boy gone global superstar, not surprised it's happened. Surprised it doesn't happen as often. Fergie definitely got him off with this one. Link to comment
Nealey
Absolute farce, think Martinez got it bang on when he said that had it been one of his players then action would have been taken. Link to comment
tup
Any truth in the rumour he also said 'that's what you get for choosing Ireland you ginger c**t' as he attempted to elbow him? It disna look good in the replay for Rooney, but on the seriousness scale it's fairly tame, anyone who remembers John Fashanu smashing Mabbutt's face to pieces with an elbow assault will tell you that these things happened far more often and with greater severity 20 years ago. Is it true that if the ref sees it and takes action you cannot be punished further retrospectively? Link to comment
tightbreeks
I heard he's in with the wrong crowd, one of his team is a well kent person from manchester, cotton and guns. It's like they have him in their pocket. Link to comment
Stoney
Typical witch hunt against man united. Ferguson slapping the arsenal lad after the goal, caught on camera and nothing said. Silly from Rooney! But if it had been any other player nothing would have been said. Big run of games coming up! Rooney must start if we are to have any chance. 11 games to go! I think 8 wins will be more than enough! Cant see arsenal going 10 games unbeaten from now till the end of the season. Link to comment

weapon
When a ref is asked to review a decision does he not have to watch a video of the incident and then say if he thinks he made the right decision?? I'm sure I read that somewhere....but then again could easily have made it up!!! Because if he did review it and said his decision at the time was right........he's a total fanny wanting to cover his own arse.....it was a clear elbow and he should have been sent off Link to comment

Bluto10
it was a poor effort for the fat ned. if he had been punished as he deserved then fergie would have every right to kick f**k out of him.with the games they have coming up, as suspension for him could have meant united not-winning the title/elimination from champs league. he's not having a great season but this united side still rely on him to make a difference in the big games coming up.that said he's in danger fo finishing this season as united 3rd best striker for this season as for the furuore thsi has created. big fuss over nothing.he (probably) deserved a red.never got one.seen it before with other big name players.end of story. Ernie McCracken
What's all the fuss? If it had been any other player on the receiving end then fair enough. If I was the referee, I would have given him a pat on the back, a Link to comment

What a load of utter pish, I give you this from December that sprung immediately to mind - Joke Decision Hmm, and who is the ref, Mark Clattenburg. Reason for the red - an elbow. An elbow that every single commentator/pundit said was an absolute joke. Explain that. Link to comment
