Sandafc
hardly the only one.. Formation is gash. Link to comment
Old Wing Stand
Bad formation or not he headed the ball straight to Conway for the 2nd goal Link to comment
boboisared
Bad formation or not he headed the ball straight to Conway for the 2nd goalBad header but that happens all the time. Should never have led to a goal. Link to comment
DieHardDandy
I actually think he's been one of our poorer players over the last few weeks. He was poor against Hearts. Link to comment
athenaeum
McNamee isnt really match fit Far worse culprits than him Link to comment
s1dnk
For me he's been poor since he arrived, not just tonight. MT, do one! If we want to criticise players we feel aren't playing as well as we expect then we have every right to do so. Link to comment
The Oxford Don
I think he's been ok tonight. Header was a disaster for the 2nd goal, but other than that he's worked hard and got up and down the touchline. At least he looks like he might actually be a right back! Link to comment
s1dnk
No surprise he was the one to come off. Link to comment
tommo1903
For me he's been poor since he arrived, not just tonight. Agreed. The only thing he offers is balance to the side, which means nothing if he cant pass the f**king ball. If he doesnt accept the 1st contract we offer him he can GTF Link to comment
OddJob
For me he's been poor since he arrived, not just tonight. Totally agree, just haven't seen enough from him to suggest he'd improve our team. Yes i realise it could be worse playing McArdle there and he's filled that void but i honestly would rather have Foster back there for next season. The guy still can't finish a match for us either. Foster14
Not sure about the guy at all. Looks great one minute, ropey the next. I think a large part is down to match fitness, but given his injuries over the last year, is he going to reach a decent level of fitness again. I hope so, as I think he could be a decent player for us, but thinking long term, if he can't show a decent level of fitness and consistency by the end of the season then I think alternatives need to be considered. King Street Loon
MacNamee is a bit up and down, but he's not helped by the fact that he'll never be 100% fit. Terrible header for TSMSTID 2nd goal. He's not had a great couple of weeks, but I've not been too disappointed in him on the whole. I appreciate that he's not 100% and that doesn't help him at all. Link to comment
Jute
McNamee isnt really match fit Think thats the problem with him. He is never match fit. Always seems to be carrying an injury. When fully fit he is a good player. Problem is he is rarely fully fit. Would use Foster at right back when he comes back and use what money we have to keep Smith for left back. Link to comment
s1dnk
Let him go, use him only as back up until the end of the season. Put Jack at RB, he's not doing much further up the park, get him to learn his trade as a defender until the end of the season, can no worse that McNamee. Link to comment
a don in oz
He's been better than what we had - a kid or centreback or midfielder playing at full back - and been part of the reason we've clawed up from relegation worries. However he's not a long term solution and I wonder how much he realised that tonight when he came off. Smith on the other side though, I hope we can keep beyond the end of the season. If not, either way we need 2 new full backs in the summer, if one of them is Smith or not. Link to comment
barassie_afc
He was strong on his debut v. them on the 1st Jan. He's been dodgy at times but compared to McGhee's idiocy of playing zero full backs, he's been a welcome addition. Is he good enough for AFC? Is he f**k. Journeyman written all over him. 90% of the team Link to comment
Nespa
awful against St Johnstone and to be fair was a little better last night...just above awful! Link to comment

Brown seeems to take him off every game, would suggest he's still struggling with match fitness. Link to comment

goteborg83
although i thot he was poor the other night, i still think if he gets a few more games under his belt he will go on to be a decent fullback. would hope that between now and the end of the season he proves to be worth a new deal Link to comment
Dandyjam
Seems more injury prone than Scott Booth and Paul Bernard put together. Link to comment

King Street Loon
I would've liked him to stay, as a fit McNammee would have been useful. But If he cannae stay fit he's of no use to us. I put Pawlett in that catagory too.Yes I'm writing him off. Link to comment

I hope so anyway as I had high hopes for Pawlett I don't know if they are TBH ollie. If he was fit I feel he should have been at least on the subs bench today. I just don't think he can keep himself to any standard of fitness required for 'Top flight' football. We def need to be looking for someone to come in and be a first choice on the right as PP isn't it. Link to comment
s1dnk
I don't think you can blame his heavy touch and poor passing on lack of fitness. I just can't see it ever working out for McNamee at AFC which is sad to say as I did have, well not high hopes but some hope for him but he just doesn't cut it. This is going to be a bold statement, one I will probably get pelters for but I think I may just prefer having Deek at RB instead of the shadow of David McNamee we signed. Link to comment
OddJob
The crazy thing is it was an inocuous tackle which led to him limping off too. Link to comment
Jaws
With those glass legs of his, i'm starting to see why this guy was without a club. Has he finished a game for us yet? Link to comment
